Not a criticism as we knew this was a remote location for shops restaurants. Nearest place was about 2km a pizzarea that we used and was very good.

Made very welcome. Parking for motorcycles Quiet location. Nice breakfast. Good talking with other guests at breakfast. Homemade jams, very nice. Good value.

Friendly welcome. Spacious room and shower room. Comfortable bed. Off road parking. Air conditioning. All the small but important things, such as tea, coffee, cold drinks, hair dryer, etc. etc. are there. Very good breakfast wirh good coffee, home made bread and jam, meat, cheese, joghurt, fresh fruit....

I had a nice, clean room with a big bathroom and comfortable beds. The breakfast was served in the family room and was very delicious with lots of home made jams and bread. The parking area is in the back of the house, but the wonderful owners let me park my motorcycle in an adjacent building so it stayed nice and dry overnight. What makes this place stand out though, are the owners of the place. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I can definitely recommend Le Castillon.

When we arrived we were surprised to see it was in a residential area, but this did not detract from our stay. Our host was lovely and made us feel very welcome. The room was spotless and beautifully furnished and the bathroom was massive. At breakfast we were presented with 17 different home made preserves and two types of home made bread and in addition two heated croissants. We couldn't have been made more welcome. The house was beautifully furnished and the location was very peaceful.

Minor issues was the low beam across the front of the room which is not good for tall people.

Its quirky. A bit like staying with your mum for a few days.The place is full of owls ( not real one ) She fusses over the guests and takes great pride in preparing breakfast, baking her own bread and making her own marmalade etc. Such a lovely lady. Her husband even helped me with a quick repair on my car. Thanks for an enjoyable stay

The shower was in a bath you had to hold the shower head in your hand.. (1st world problem)

The breakfast was superb with fresh baked bread, self mad confiture that tasted really well. I travel by velomobile (a fancy recumbent bike with aerodynamic cocoon) that is not suitable for going out to dinner. The host offered me a ride to the restaurant. The room was spacious although the roof was a bit low here and there... I could park my velomobile inside the garage. Hosts are very friendly.

Low beams Shower almost impossible to use. Very dingy, dark old furniture. No outside view, just a small velux roof window. There were other rooms that might have been better. Although we had paid for two nights we only stayed for one night
