Amazing setting Steeped in history Clean Amazing food and welcoming staff

Think for price - breakfast should be included. Driveway potholes need a look but big plans to extend hopefully include the driveway.

Great location and views, beautiful outdoors, huge potential if cons are considered. Appreciated that management recognized shortcomings and made a gesture. Wishing them to turn the place around so that I'll return one day.

1. The deco and layout of the rooms and the furniture are not 5-star level 2. The (numerous) staff is very young and extremely kind but lack basic training notably for table service. 3. The restaurant's cooking is simply awful.

Wonderfully understated luxury, in a beautiful location. The staff were all polite, professional and knowledgeable.

The property and location were exceptional. The Spa was beautiful, and we spent a few hours relaxing there on our anniversary. The food for both breakfast and dinner was phenomenal!

The room did not meet our expectations in a couple of ways: The carpet was incredibly old and in disrepair, and it seemed that some of the rooms were more updated, but ours was a bit of a disappointment, given how beautiful the property is. We booked a couples massage for our anniversary, and both my partner and I felt the massages were sub-par. We both asked for heavy pressure, and it felt like an hour of being lightly tickled. Even with the mediocre masages, we enjoyed the spa area very much.

Food was excellent, location was very nice.

Very noisy due to work outside. SPA had no people present and massage had to be booked with an additional 89€ to get someone to come at all.

Beautiful surrounding, ideal to take a walk in the forest. Swimming pool, sauna and haman are very good and open early in the morning, i wish they open later in the night as well

Breakfast is quite average and with the price i would appreciate if the bread and fresh juice were offered in a buffet setting and not have to ask everytime to refill. Egg station also on demand and you have to pay extra for a poach egg. The reception and check in could be long but no welcome drink were offered, it doesn’t feel welcoming.same in spa no water being offered, hot tea also cost extra.

Staff was not available at most times, late check in due to them being late with cleaning the rooms and well over priced (who pays extra for breakfast in the middle of nowhere?)

Very lovely location, beautiful views, nice walks around the property. The spa facilities were very nice, there is a small but nice swimming pool with a lovely view too. Cozy relaxing area. The restaurant dinner was fantastic, we have quite a difficult diets but the chef made it work for us and it was great!

The rooms were a bit small, with a very modest old design for the price. I was a bit disappointed. There was no door to the bathroom, including the toilet, it may be too tricky for some couples. The “buffet” breakfast is not worth the money. The buffet consisted of a few cheap cereal choices and some dried fruit, plus we were brought a cheese and meat plate, one drink and an egg dish (we could choose from the menu). If I went back I would only get a dish from the menu instead.

I had the impression the property is slightly overrated and overpriced. All interiors are cold and colorless: some refurbishment is needed. It feels more a 4 star than a 5 star. Restaurant and bar are clearly overpriced: I had two meals at the restaurant for 2 and both times was charged much over 300 euros. Cocktails at the bar are charged at 20 euros. These are New York or Hong Kong prices in highly luxurious settings: pricing not justified for the location,

Sophisticated, private, quiet and cosy. Breakfast was a particularly fine offering.

Bed was ok but pillows were not. Also, a door to the bathroom would be convenient.

Amazing location & stunning. Building with an exceptional spa.

If we had to be critical we found the food to be not particularly special for the price that was charged. An example of this was the scrambled eggs we ordered with bacon came with literally charred bacon. We sent it back but this was replaced with undercooked bacon which we again sent back but by the time we got it back we had finished our eggs!

Magnificent location.

Felt at times understaffed. The team is great but for a hotel of this level, the staff needs to be more present for the clients. That would be the only - very small - downside.
