Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesLike many European hotels, the room space is quite small. It would be fine for a single person or couple. It would be helpful to add additional places to hang towells in the bathroom in rooms serving multiple people. The shower drain was very slow to drain. A mildewy smell in the bathroom was unpleasant.
The location of this hotel is ideal if you plan to walk around the city. The restaurant on the first floor is lovely. The small balcony off the room was delightful - very nice flowers in pots everywhere.

LuxembourgNoise from outside, sensitive customers should ask for other rooms but probably price would be different
Hyperdecorated, loud, definitely not a zen experience but nice, in the end. Rooms at the front are impossible to stay if you are sensitive to noise, as the street is very noisy and early morning is not quiet (shops, works, deliveries…).The hotel should make that clear, for me was ok and for the fair price I paid I could not complain. Room clean, good bed and good shower. Quality/price very ok if you pay below 100€. Breakfast fixed as other customers said, but, again, good value for money. The central station is 5 minutes away.

AustraliaIn the morning at about 6am, the street noise was full on.
It’s beautiful in a fun and luxurious Morrocan style. It’s Iocation is wonderful- in the midst of restaurants and old Brussels. When I got back from my wandering at night, the owner was playing the piano. It’s a great atmosphere!

CroatiaI prefer buffet style breakfast, we each got a croissant and a piece of bread on our plates, a bowl with little packets of butter, a bowl of jam, and some ham and cheese (for 1 person, not for all of us.) It was ok, but it could definitely be better. Nevertheless, we didn't stay hungry.
The location is superb, the interior is beautiful, the staff is kind and helpful.

United KingdomMy room faced the street and was a bit noisy at 6am with delivery trucks, but did get back to sleep when it quietened down. The room was warm; a small electric fan would have been helpful.
Staff were very kind and clearly take pride in their hotel and make sure all guests are happy. The decorations are elaborate and charming, so much to see! Nice simple, but tasty, breakfast included and served with a smile! Would stay again.

United KingdomThe noise, we could hardly sleep as our bedroom was located at the front. Also, the bed mattress was not comfortable. Wardrobe is broken and only 2 hangers inside. No bathroom mat.

PolandFor once, I’m going to skip the usual urge to complain. It was fine — not incredible, not terrible, just comfortably above average. And to be fair, when I look in the mirror, I’m hardly flawless myself. Maybe it’s time we all gave the world the same level of patience we hope others give us. So no complaints today. Surprising, I know. Feel free to note it down — and of course, start complaining that this review is clearly biased, because surely there’s plenty to pick apart if you’re really in the mood. I mean, let’s be honest — the pixel backlight on the TV was ever so slightly uneven, the croissant at breakfast leaned suspiciously to the left, the escalator felt like it had a personal vendetta, and there was a spider in the corner of the ceiling that I’m fairly certain was either venomous or at the very least planning something. Frankly, I’m shocked they let guests face such wild jungle conditions without a waiver.
Ah, Hotel Mozart... where to even begin with this truly unique experience? Let me offer a bit of context so you can judge whether my impressions align with your preferences. I’m a frequent traveller, covering all corners of Europe for work — north, south, east, west... you name it, I’ve likely been. And over time, I’ve encountered the full hotel spectrum: the good, the mediocre, and the truly forgettable. Some were part of large chains, others not. So when I booked Hotel Mozart, it wasn’t thanks to glowing reviews or eye-catching photos. Frankly, I needed something within walking distance, and Booking.com happened to have a cracking deal. Clicking through the listing, I immediately noticed something rather unusual: a strong Mediterranean vibe, with clear Moroccan influences layered in. The Mozart connection? A bit of a head-scratcher. Maybe someone mixed up their themes? But hey — why not take a chance? It’s not every day you book a hotel that looks like it might double as a Moroccan lounge or a Mediterranean bazaar. When I arrived, I was greeted by a grand piano in the lobby — just as in the photos — and a cultural mash-up of decor that somehow made the place feel... well, more alive than your average hotel. My welcome was friendly, if a touch hesitant due to a small technical hiccup with the booking confirmation. Still, I could tell the owner meant well. The next morning, breakfast was an experience all on its own. Let’s just say it wasn’t your typical hotel buffet—more of a small culinary adventure. But what stood out most was the owner himself: warm, attentive, genuinely interested in guests' stories. You don’t see that very often. Hotel Mozart: it’s not perfect. But neither am I. And honestly? That’s what makes it worth it. It’s real, it’s memorable — and above all, it’s authentic. Give it a try!
