Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalThat i couldn’t live there all the time :)
Great, calm and safe neighbourhood. Really close to everything in Brugge. It was very clean and it smelled great. All commodities we could need were there. And we couldn’t go without a very kind and appreciative word to our wonderful hosts. They should manage an Hotel, since their service is better than one. It was a pleasure to meet Simon. Thank you for everything. You will also be engraved on our visit to Brugge. Hope we can comeback one day and meet again!

United KingdomBathroom gave very little privacy - although we have been a couple for over 20 years, we don't want to be in the same room as each other when going to the toilet. We would have opened the door into the garden to 'escape' but it was windy and raining, Breakfast was plentiful - but far too big, meaning that much of it was left. It was pricey for what we actually ate - if we'd eaten it all we'd not have been able to walk the 15 minutes into Bruges! ham, cheese, croissants, bread, yoghurt, granola, fruit salad, orange juice - but no hot chocolate (which was specified as included). Just 2 coffee pods for our 2 night stay and only peppermint tea. Minimal hangers for clothing and limited space unless you want to put your clothes in the bathroom cupboard.
Great quality of furnishings, fantastic location with easy parking, friendly owners and good garden/outside space to chill. wine/beer/water in a chiller

NetherlandsNo big dislikes, only a few constructive remarks. After you shower the room gets quite hot and humid - some air ventilation would be great. Noise from the other room(s) comes easy through the walls.
Affordable, cozy, clean, close to the center of town. Super responsive and proactive owners, helpful every step of the way. The attention to detail finishes it off - different pillow types & sizes, soft and fresh smelling towels and sheets, romantic lights, A-brand toiletries.

United KingdomThe toilet, shower design. The toilet was in the room with just a sliding door that had some frosted but some clear glass panels. The room design meant the door did not go to end leaving a gap of about 30cm. This meant it did not feel very private. The same door also slid across for the shower which meant that when using the toilet straight after showering water dripped on to the toilet floor.
Greeted by the friendly host we were shown to a good size, comfortable room. We were shown how to use the key less locking system for the door which was great as no risk if losing keys. The room was clean, fresh and a good size. The complimentary tea and coffee were a lovely touch. The rooms were situated in an excellent location just a short walk from the main tourist areas of Brugge.

GermanyWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at Poutrelle Guestrooms. The apartment was beautifully designed with so much love for detail — everything felt carefully thought out and of high quality. From the luxurious towels to the premium hygiene products, it truly felt like a home away from home. Simon and Jade are outstanding hosts who clearly care deeply about their guests’ experience. A special highlight was the E-bikes, which came with a perfectly planned route by Simon — such a great way to explore the charm of Bruges to the north sea. We can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you for such a special experience!

United KingdomQuiet location with parking just 15-20 minutes walk from the centre. Spacious room with very comfortable super king bed. We slept well! Friendly, helpful host and nice touches like crockery if you decide on having takeaway food. Electric bike hire from the doorstep with route suggestions provided: we loved our trip to the seaside through beautiful countryside!

RomaniaWe had a great stay! The room was clean, spacious, and modern, with a lovely view of the garden. Having a parking spot right in front of the door was super convenient, especially if you’re visiting Bruges by car. The location is ideal ,just outside one of the old city gates, and within walking distance of the historic center. It took us about 20 minutes on foot to reach the Belfort. A perfect base for exploring the city!

RomaniaThe property was excellent for a couple! It's close to the city center—about a 15-minute walk—and near everything you'd want to visit in the old town. The room had everything we needed and was very clean. We especially loved the terrace, which you can access either from your room or the hallway. It’s a lovely spot to enjoy breakfast or coffee. The mattress was perfect—not too soft, not too firm—and we had a great night's sleep. What made it even better for me was how quiet the neighborhood and the house were. The only minor inconvinience is that the shower and toilet share a sliding door, which doesn’t fully close on the toilet side due to a cabinet being in the way. It might not be comfortable for everyone, but if you're traveling alone or as a couple, it shouldn't be a problem. The hosts were amazing—responsive, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. They even helped with our luggage so we could enjoy a few more hours in the city after checking out. This property is perfect for a short stay, and we’ll definitely come back when we get the chance!

MaltaGood day! My husband and I spent three wonderful days at this lovely hotel. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts, and the hostess was very friendly—she explained everything in detail and showed us around. The hotel is very cozy, clean, and comfortable. The location is excellent—just a 10-minute walk from the center of Bruges, making it a perfect choice for exploring the city. A great advantage is the free parking near the hotel, allowing you to leave your car and enjoy the city on foot. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to return!

United KingdomThe concept of the shower/toilet door was a little strange to use and could've maybe used more frosting in the glass but that's just being picky!
The room was really beautiful and done out to a really high standard. Everything we needed was there- the toiletries smelled amazing!! The bed was super comfy and really big. Myself and my partner only stayed for 2 nights but we felt like we were staying in a home away from home. The contactless check in made it super easy to get into the room after a very long drive, although that did mean we didn't get to meet the hosts. However, you can really tell that they care about their property. The location is also great as it's no more than a 15 minute walk into the centre of Bruges. We made use of the car parking space on the driveway and just walked everywhere. All in all, we had a really lovely stay and would go back again. Highly recommend!

SloveniaThe bed was a bit soft for our taste, but that's more a personal preference than anything else.

United KingdomThere was only a coffee maker in the room so although we could get hot water it tasted of coffee. There was no fixed door between the bathroom and toilet areas and the bedroom which was ok for us but could be a problem for some guests.
Very easy to get to the city centre on foot or with the bikes you can hire from the owner. We were very pleased with our choice to use Poutrelle - because it offered free parking and was good value for money. Very clean and modern our room looked out on, and had access to, a pretty garden.

United KingdomI really cannot fault the accommodation and will happily book here again in the future! I don't even look for any other accommodation in bruges anymore as no where would be as great as here! 100% recommended to anyone!
This is our second time staying at Poutrelle Guestrooms. Cannot fault the place at all! The shower is fantastic, the room is modern and practical. The bed is ridiculously comfortable and spacious. The mini fridge that contains both soft and alcoholic drinks is perfect and a delight on arrival to have a chilled drink. They even have a set of plates, bowls and cutlery should you want to eat in. You can come and go as you please. There is parking reserved off of the road which gives you an extra sense of ease when you arrive. The location is perfect, only a short 15 or 20 minute walk to all the sites of bruges. But in a quiet neighbourhood away from the hassle and bustle of the city centre.
