How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The sofa bed for the kids to share was quite small and uncomfortable in comparison to similar sleeping arrangements they had on the holiday.
It was right by a train station which was great, next door to the European Parliament, and the kids loved the free table football in reception.

Socket by kettle didn't work and wasn't fixed after I reported it. Another socket had tissue stuffed in it. Rooms starting to show wear and tear - walls and carpet look dirty and skirting is chipped. Shower temperature was only lukewarm. Breakfast options have reduced - no more sausages or waffles.
Third stay here. Welcoming staff. Very good location next to Brussels Luxembourg train station and buses into central Brussels. The outside area also looks more tidy than previous trips. Nice onsite (basic) gym.

Shower had quite slippery floor, I would advise to have shower slippers inside or some bath mat.
Everything was great, room was still cleaned at a time of our arrival and we got a free parking and no pet fee for our stay, whereas we were waiting for 15 minutes, I appreciated the move from the staff. Shower had a good pressure. Bed and pillows were nice too, no comments. We didn’t take breakfast, so on that no comments either.

Unfortunately none of the USB sockets in the room seemed to work at all, however the reception staff kindly loaned us an adapter to use.
Surprised to have an espresso machine in the room, excellent facility to have. TV was a good size with a good selection of channels and information. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable with ample pillows and a nice heavy duvet. Air-con was a God-send as the weather outside was very warm during our stay.

Nothing at all
The breakfast was great lots of variety and the kids loved the food too, the location was central and easy to reach everything, plus the staff was the most amazing people in the world. Very kind, friendly and helpful. Lucas, Amy some of the staff we encountered who made our stay extra beautiful and all the other staff. The room was spacious and had all we needed above all we slept great. Great hotel, I will recommend it over and over again for families and individuals.

The breakfast didn't have enough options. My daughter is a picky eater and not much offered are what she would usually eat. No pancakes, waffles, omelettes, sausages...... Breakfast can be better.
The staff were amazing! All of them. Very helpful. Daniel was particularly great! I had to pump some milk and take back to my baby and they were so supportive. They also helped with activities for my daughter who was in holiday with me. Great staff!

Great location with parking opposite (£23 Euros a day.) Very helpful staff. Modern facilities. They store your bags if you arrive early. Nice touches like free water, nuts, and an espresso coffee machine.

The computer check-in - staff realised our frustration as checked us manually.
