The hotel is very old, no lift, dangerous tiny stairs structurally unstable. My blanquet was dirty. Only one tiny towel, no hair dryer.

The guy at the reception was very friendly and efficient, the room was cheap.

Stairs, Narrowness of spaces, Mediocre Cleanliness was just about acceptable and I wore slippers in the room. I did not feel comfortable as woman on my own, even though I travel a lot alone. Yet, I might go back with a friend for its cheapness. I was cold at night. Next morning I asked for extra blanket, which was not delivered. I was too tired to go up and down three staircases to reception to get one.

Location + Cheap price + Decent + Kind Staff (though look overworked). Okay to shower + sleep.

Downside is the curtains not blocking the street lights very tight steps to get to the room, no glasses no drinkable water in the room or in the hotel where the tap water is not drinkable. They should at least put plastic glasses in the rooms and make water bottles available fro sale in the hotel.

Location is great, staff were very helpful, bed comfy.

I found a bedbug in the bed. (Yes, the blood sucking type) I had to wash everything in 60 degrees, I hope I didn’t bring them home… The room was noisy too.

The way the hotel is built.very very small before room stairs so small it wasn't easy to access bedroom that was on the 3rd floor and no lift. Bed very uncomfortable. Room very very hot not air con.shower broken could not stand on the support.no soap to get shower. No room attendant.i spent the 3 nights no bedsheet changed.Very disappointed.

The stairs are not comfortable, if you have lot of laggage, or not in good health, Moist odor, not rcommanded for people with allergy issues

The water was extremely hot! Pillows and bed were very sub par, the pillows were actually so old and lumpy. The room was very hot and there was a lot of noise from outside.

Staff were friendly and the room was clean. The hotel was in a good location as it was a 5min walk to the square.

Smells a bit weird, and its upkeep strategy could well be described as "eccentric". But that is sort of an industry standard for basic Brussels hotels. Not spotless, but not half as dirty as the other reviews on this site would suggest! I probably wouldn't choose it if I was travelling with someone else (the toilet door had come off its hinges), but totally decent for a solo traveller.

It was very basic and everything worked. I got exactly what I had specified, and nothing more. So, fine. Wifi good – better than in some of the more luxurious Brussels addresses – and the shower was way nicer than my own! Dead central (albeit on the rather lugubrious northern beltway) and amazing access to the Gare du Nord and Rogier metro: ie, perfect for the airport, trade fairs at Brussels Expo and Tour et Taxis, and for access to destinations in France, the UK and Netherlands. Nice staff, too.

the room was quite ill-kept. We decided to ignore others' reviews, but the beds really had yellow stains, the vent in the bathroom was *blocked* with mould, the wall-papers were unstuck in multiple places and the railing on the stairs was quite unstable as if it was going to break any moment (our room was on the 3rd floor). The window was short, about half the width of the room, so the room was not well-lit during the day, especially with the cloudy weather in Belgium. The walls are very thin and we frequently heard other guests passing by (our room was next to the stairs) or listening to music. Also, the window looks at an inner courtyard with a vent from the kitchen of a restaurant on the ground floor.

Despite my bad review in the next field, it was perfectly ok for 2 nights if you don't have high expectations. The main positive aspect is that the hotel is next to the end of a main pedestrian street leading straight to the main city centre (at a walking distance), perfect for the start of a short stroll or a longer around Bruxelles.

Everthing Else , Extremely Dirty. Dirtiness. Price extremly high We had booked a 2 persons room we had given a 4 persons room and we had asked not to touch the other 2 beds !!! Toilet Door opens weirdly. Noisy , there was a lot of noise we were in a romm that is next to the reception we've heared everything going there !! It was a weird room , Trés bizzare !
