The apartment has a run down vibe with damaged furniture (sofa), too limited cooling utensils and crockery, grime and mold in the shower and walls in need of painting. Clear management errors.

Certain things could be improved e.g missing hand rails on stairs, broken doors on wardrobes, curtain instead of door for bathroom, no blind on skylight window but these are not huge problems if you are not picky and are reflected in the price of such a big property

The apartment is really big and spacious. Location is very central and close to lots of sites. Ideal for a group of friends. Terrace is very nice when the sun is out

The apartment we saw on the photos, are not exactly accurate, it had same number of rooms and the terras, but it wasn't apartment in the booking photos. There was no heating in the apartment. There are wall radiators which are not working, and one electric small radiator. The space is quite large so one small electric radiator was not nearly enough. There was no WiFi in the apartment at all. Glass wall in the bathroom looks like it is coming off any second. I have contacted their customer service, even though they are very polite, they didn't give any resolution to our problem. All in all, it's below average and I have feeling they are not taking care of the apartment.

The property is old and snells of old wooden furniture..the draws are falling off.the lights are dimmed except the bathroom,toilets and rooms.the pillows are not comfortable and small.staff did not provide bed cover and pillows in the other bed when I instructed that 3 are not couples that can share a bed.online check out instructions you have to throw your own garbage before leaving the property.air condition is not blowing cold air despite adjusting temperature.apartment is hot as it is summer.when opening the window it is noisy as it is in the Main Street where you can hear cars passing and people being loud.the apartment need renovation.

Place was definitely dirty. Hot water heater didn’t work the first day. Obnoxiously loud construction going on next door. Jackhammering at 7AM every morning. A lot of things broken inside the apartment. While there was a huge space, not a lot of it was useable because there was only one small couch.

The photographs do not live up to the expectations of the property. This place has huge potential given its size and location, so we were disappointed overall. The main bed was fine, but fold out bed was very uncomfortable. The wooden floor needs to be sanded, and treated. The main bathroom had wooden floors, were damaged and were not suitable for a wet area. The Wifi and TV did not work for the duration of our stay. I rang a number that was in brochure on the first evening, and it was the wrong number. I found another number in the booking, and rang. The lady was pleasant and said she would look into it, but by day 3, nothing was done. This was disappointing as we'd no Wifi. The TV boxes were stacked on top of each other in the corner on the ground, with cables doing every were. The kitchen area was missing cutlery. Although the location was great, it was extremely noisy with buses, garbage trucks, and people coming home nightclubs early in the morning. The entrance area from the street into the complex is not very professional and was dirty.

The location was great very near to the main streets and sights. The apartment was a very good size, with ample space for our party to lounge around. The water pressure in the shower was very good also.

- loose toilet seat - the light in the living room wasn’t working, so we were unable to stay together and we were forced to to go to the bedroom where there was light - there was a fan, but it was not working (we were sleeping in a sort of glass dish bowl in the living room, so this was much needed - there was so much mold in the bathroom and it smelled so bad: this cannot be healthy..!! - there was a wire hanging from the ceiling in the living rooms and electrical sockets were hanging out of the wall, a potential hazardous situation - there were so pillows/ sheet covers for the sleeping couch in the living room so my son had to sleep in my room, instead of his own bed as was advertised - no showegel, just a remainder it was once there - leaking tab at toilet - we did contacted the organization for the light in the living room, but the only reply was ‘sorry for the inconvenience’ and if we could share our other feedback and that ‘they will look into it. Booking.com even though this was of course a ‘cheap’ location: this was unacceptable and I am used better of you!

Appartment was poorly maintained, smelled of moisture, fridge wasn’t working, during rain it turned out there were several leaks and water came into the appartment. Terraces were very slippery when wet, resulting in falling and cutting open my leg. Parts of the floor were broken. Screws and pipes sticking out of the wall, making it very dangerous with kids. Pictures on website show a completely different place.

The accommodation was no where near comparing to the photos that was advertised with TV did not work when I phone them and email them no action was taken, floor's were sticky tap was dripping in the toilet, overall very disappointing. They did not bother to follow through and we did not see the host at all.

The apartment used to be an open space office. That is probably why some rooms have glass walls. The lights in the hall switch on automatically which means whenever someone goes there, the light switches on and you have quite a lot of light in the room where you sleep. In my case the switcher was out of order and the light was on the whole night. I tried to contact Smartflats via mail and via phone, unfortunatelly they did not send anybody to fix it for the whole week. It means I had to sleep all nights with the light on, which was terrible. Moreover the kitchen is not enought equipped. There are enought plates, glasses and mugs. But there are only a few pots. There are two frying pans but non of theme worked on the induction stove.

The instructions I got on my email were clear. There was no problem to get the key from the box.

You could not sleep in one of the beds due to the springs sticking out on both sides, the mezzanine railing at the top of the stairs is very loose and very unsafe, the dishwasher was not operational during our stay and the smell coming from it was revolting. The floors were very sticky like soft drink had been spilt everywhere, had to leave shoes on (otherwise it was cleaned well). This apartment could be excellent if a small amount of maintenance/replacement of a mattress was undertaken and perishing dining chairs were replaced with simple plastic ones from Ikea.

The apartment was centrally located to everything, excellent location. Close to shops, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and public transport. The apartment was very clean, except for the sticky floors.

Oh, dear - the attention to detail really let this apartment down. It just needs a lot of basic maintenance! Light fittings were loose, some were not working. The rail at the top of the stairs was loose and wobbly which is just a bit dangerous. The sofabed was broken and did not unfold/sit properly on the floor. A radiator was just missing off the wall and left with sharp metal bits sticking out. A blind was missing off one of the windows. The light for the bathroom mirror is not even connected, making my wife and daughter really upset because they tried to do their makeup using their phone torches(!); the hairdrier in the bathroom was also not connected. A spare was supplied (fair enough) but there was nowhere to plug it into near a mirror... Back to lighting, the whole apartment is lit by spotlights that just weren't really the right thing to be using, so the place felt unnecessarily dark. And the place was devoid of soft furnishings, other than the broken sofa bed, which seems ridiculous considering the sheer size of it! And the bathroom floor had dangerously loose/sticking up boards where the shower had overspilled and warped them - some time ago by the look of things. All of these things are silly bits of detail that a decent management and maintenance process would avoid - what a shame that this aspect of the flat seems to be being run on a shoestring, letting down a potentially superb space.

Excellent location close to centre of Brussels and Grand Place. Really large, spacious apartment with 2 good sized bedroom and massive living area. Big walk-in shower and good kitchen facilities. Excellent heating making the place toasty.

Extremely badly maintained & in need of lots of repairs before someone gets injured 1)hair dryer broken (now replaced by your staff).. 2)The flooring in the bathroom is very unsafe & dangerous (we have covered with a towel but not ideal) 3) there are bare wires exposed to the damp condition in the bathroom (unsafe) 4) the pull out sofa bed is broken & unusable.... (needs replaced ASAP ) 5) the hand rail on the landing/top of stairs is very loose & extremely unsafe 6) the main bathroom has excessive build up of dust on the wooden beams that could do with a good clean up 7) multiple light switches around the property are broken/damaged & not safe to use 8) Downstairs toilet bulb needs replaced 9) overall cleanliness of the property is very poor

Communication was very difficult with the team managing the property. We asked for another set of towels that never arrived, the team managing our request responded two days after we had been there already... we never got what we needed.

The location was perfect and very spacious property. The facilities were ok and the appliances were all in good working order. The shower was amazing.

The place has potential but it needs a lot of maintenance. It was dirty when we arrived — the bed sheets and the sofa bed were unclean, the sofa had bad springs and smelled really bad. In fact, almost everything had an unpleasant odor. Most of the lights didn’t work properly — some couldn’t be turned on and others couldn’t be turned off. The refrigerator didn’t work at all. We also had a terrible experience at 4 AM when a couple next door started screaming and hitting the walls, and then someone (possibly drunk) came to our door, knocked and yelled. We contacted the housing support, and they just told us to call the police ourselves. The staff is nice but they don’t provide actual solutions.

The location was pretty good and the apartment was spacious. The staff was responsive and answered quickly when contacted.
