Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaMy wife and I stayed for three days. Unfortunately not being internet savvy to make Wi Fi phone calls didn’t use voice on my own provider at $1.50 per minute International Roaming charges outgoing and incoming. I even tried to send SMS to the proprietors telephone number but this didn’t go through on a number of occasions so reverted to sending my question per the Booking.com portal. A great compendium of restaurants for breakfasts and dinner places was available. Unfortunately my wife and I are homely people and prefer to eat in-house. Unfortunately when I had bought a 1kg pack of Muesli and milk did I note that only two flat dinner plates with knives and forks was available. We ate our Muesli out of the supplied mugs for tea/coffee with two teaspoons for the first breakfast. I sent a request straight after our first breakfast via Booking.com and waited. For the second breakfast we ate from disposable bowls and wooden tablespoons I bought. That evening after coming back from a night exploring Brugge did we find two bowls and two table spoons in the room for our last days breakfast. Whilst at the Supermarket I bought six rolls of toilet paper ( minimum volume available) as only two rolls were available in the room ( the description of the room said toilet paper supplied) and via Booking.com portal the response would have been too slow. This also went with soap to wash. A small 2.5 cm diameter bar of soap was supplied with instructions on how to use, so we bought a pack of larger soap bars. The towels had a musky smell to them and we thought that we would get new towels daily. This was not mentioned in the description of the property that the room was not serviced. Also the electric kettle needs to be descaled as white flakes of scale were present after boiling water, so we stayed away from making tea and coffee. The three key entry; the keys were hard to use. The place in a fire would be too hard to escape from so didn’t lock the central downstairs internal...
I had booked the property many months ago and the proprietors of the property were very accommodating with quick response to questions I had asked which was reassuring. Proximity to a self serve laundry (right next to Studio Heyst) at 6 Euro per wash plus 2.5 Euros soap. The best ever stocked Supermarket I have ever seen in my life was only five minutes walk away. The tram to Knokke was 300 meters away. The beaches five minutes walk. Free WiFi was powerful at over 100MB per second.

BelgiumCold in the first hours but it was solved. Very tiny soaps fall easily in the shower. We never managed to click on the Netflix profile avatars to watch a film.
Beautiful rooms, very attentive and kind staff, close to the sea and a few good places to eat. Thank you for upgrading us when the heating was cold, the sauna was great. Delicious Indian restaurant nearby.
