Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBrugge is not designed for visitors arriving by car, the parking on street is extortionate and time limited (max 4h @€16 on our visit!) therefore you have to park underground in larger, slightly less expensive car parks. The road can be noisy as this is a historical house on a cobbled road, with single glazed windows that we kept open due to the heat. no fans were provided so think about bringing your own.
B&B Emma is lovely place, within 10mins walk of the centre of Brugge. the walk is along quiet streets and easily navigable with little chance of becoming lost. The room was sizable, the bathroom clean, the TV and toilet, tiny!! The host was lovely and suggested an alternate route to town along the canal to take in the beautiful windmill pumps along the Dyke as well as a great place for breakfast.

TurkeyB&B Emma hosted us for two nights, and we were so satisfied that if I ever travel to Brugge again, I will definitely stay here. First of all, the hostess is incredibly sweet and friendly — she helped us a lot in every way. She explained in detail everything we could do in Brugge. The location of the house was perfect. B&B Emma is just a five-minute walk from the city center of Brugge — we can say it’s very central. Also, it’s about a 10-minute walk from a free parking area, which is a big advantage since parking in Brugge is quite problematic. The place was very clean, quiet, and peaceful. You’re staying in one of the historical houses of Brugge. Even though we didn’t request it, the staff kindly cleaned and tidied up our room. The hostess is such a polite and kind lady — she answered all our questions patiently and with a smile. It’s a place that deserves to be chosen 100%. You can stay here without a second thought or any hesitation. Thank you so much, B&B Emma!

United KingdomIt was all good!
Fabulous stay in a lovely house very well situated near the centre of the beautiful old town. Leen the host was so friendly and helpful, and the house and room was immaculately clean and very well appointed. We had a wonderful stay and would thoroughly recommend B&B Emma. There was also the bonus of free (and safe) parking a 10 minute walk away, and a 30 minute free parking space in the street for when we wanted to check out. All the major sites of Bruges were a short, easy walk away.

The location of the accommodation is excellent, it is a little out of the strict old town centre, but within easy walking distance and the environment is very peaceful. The breakfast was superb, great choice, healthy and good quality ingredients. The best part was that the breakfast was in the private kitchen of the host, who was at the same time socialising and chatting with us, which gives the accommodation a touch of uniqueness. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and one that will remain in our memories.

AustraliaWe loved our stay so there wasn't anything we didn't like.
Leen (host) lived on site which was helpful and welcomed us like we were family. She loves living in Brugge and she was excited to share her knowledge of the local area, giving us great tips. The room had everything we needed, it felt so homely, and it had the most comfortable bed we slept in, in our 3 months in Europe. I also loved the bed linen.

Slovakia- House is very old (even historical) and thus walls are thin, so if silence is your priority this might be a problem, but we had no issue with any noise during our stay
- convenient location in walking distance to city center - very nice host - attention to detail - simple check in (by door code ) and checkout

United StatesI could hear some of the movements of the guests in the other room; perhaps inevitable with ancient creaky floors.
All sorts of small extra facilities (fridge, coffee maker, cutlery, plates etc) that make it possible to sort out your own breakfast, drinks and snacks etc. Free parking available about 10 minutes walk away, and main tourist sites about 15 minutes walk in the other direction. Quiet neighborhood and easy to find. The recommended walking route shown on the map posted in the room was very nice. The hostess was very welcoming and helpful.

United KingdomHad a lovely stay at this b&b. Leen was a very warm friendly hostess, very obliging. The room had every facility needed to make our visit comfortable, especially the very efficient shower, complete with toiletries. What a bonus to have free parking in a city, just a 10 minute walk to the house. We found the location perfect, in a beautiful quiet area and we were able to stroll into the centre of Bruges in 15 minutes.

United KingdomThere really wasn't much to dislike about this B&B. Bathroom was on the small side but this really wasn't an issue. It is a little walk to the centre but it is a quiet and scenic walk. There's also a great looking pub, bakery and restaurant all a minute walk away so no real cons to speak of.
Great small B&B. So many lovely touches. Breakfast felt truly decadent, delicious local food out, all laid out incredibly stylishly - like the front cover of a house magazine. Rooms were large, bright and comfortable. Water, tea and coffee inside. Good power shower. In a quiet, safe and beautiful neighbourhood just 20 minutes walk from the centre. We got a cab from the station as we were travelling with a little one and older parents which cost €20. The host arranged a very easy check in even though she wasn't there when we arrived and was very friendly and accommodating of our little girl throughout our stay.

United KingdomMaybe booking.com details need updating. No breakfast option offered, no breakfast in room offered. No cookies or chocolate in room. Check out 10.30 not 11. We didn't see anyone on first day for any tips/advice. The step into wardrobe and light switch inside wardrobe (bathroom) isn't ideal during the night.
Great location - easy walk to the center. The duvet and pillow was super squishy and perfect! Easy check in details- self service. Free parking not too far away.
