Although beautiful decor in the room and bathroom, perhaps a little less clutter would be better. High-tech room control (using iPad) a bit over-the-top - but the ambient music was excellent.

The only thing that could be improved was to have been shown around the suite more. There was robes and slippers in the bathroom but I didn’t find them right away as well as hidden closets with iron and extra storage. But honestly we loved our stay.

The location was a short walk from the main square and close to many restaurants and shopping. The family suite was spacious and comfortable. Beautifully decorated and we really appreciated the beautiful garden that we relaxed in after exploring the city.

Nothing...it was a perfect stay.

The Notary is a dream! From the beautiful gardens in the back with spaces to relax to the uniquely designed rooms. We purchase the breakfast one morning of our stay and it was wonderful. Great location close to everything, but far enough away from the crowds. And the smell of the property was so appealing. I'll be purchasing the scent for my own home!

Very beautiful design of the hotel with cosy spaces and absolutely gorgeous garden. The atmosphere in the hotel with music and all the decor details is very special and memorable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is very central, 3 minutes walk to the main city square.

Breakfast was nice but not worth the €54 each price. A basic breakfast could easily be included in the cost of the hotel room. I think the cost of the sauna at €65 an hour was too much considering the size of the spa room.

Stunning hotel, garden is beautiful and so is the decor. Staff were lovely and friendly. Loved the music they played throughout.

We loved our stay at this beautifully designed hotel in the heart of Bruges - it's a bit maximalist for what we would like normally but it's very creatively and tastefully done. The fireplace inside our room is also lovely. The garden overlooking the canal is stunning. The service was also very friendly and professional. One minor suggestion - the rate for using the spa facilities seemed a bit high. It would have been great if this was included in the room rate.

The pillows are square, which creates an unusual sleeping experience; we discovered they don't have rectangular pillows. Not a deal breaker. The state of the art tablet which controls lighting, temperature and audio is not intuitive e.g. every time we returned to the room, it switched on the fire in the bathroom. Not a deal breaker either.

A boutique hotel should have time to take care of its customers, and The Notary excelled in this area. We were welcomed by the excellent Charles, whose splendid service set the tone for our stay, with his personal recommendations for which landmarks and restaurants to visit. We followed these and he was spot on. Our room was Bohemian in style - perhaps a little dark in the bathroom, but undoubtedly very cool. The highlight dinner of our trip was in the hotel restaurant where Kurt, the adorable chef prepares wonderful food. He will personalize his signature menus given a day's notice and we highly recommend this spectacular experience. the location is easy walking distance to all the highlights of Bruges.

"I stayed in the King Suite. The atmosphere of the room was great. The only significant downside was that the bathtub looked amazing, but there was no proper shower area, and a lot of water splashed everywhere. Also, the toilet was very, very small and felt too narrow and dark for people with claustrophobia.

The breakfast varieties were very beautiful, healthy, and filling. "The location was amazing. You can reach the city center in 3-5 minutes on foot. The garden, garden view, small pond, and seating areas by the canal were wonderful.
