How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewGreat location. Quite large room and bathroom with all amenities needed. They also provide small coffee machine with bonus coffee pods in the room. Lovely lobby and back yard.
I'd prefer water heater in the room, than coffee machine (that perhaps can be provided in lobby instead)

Verified reviewI loved the decor of the hotel, from the exposed brick walls and lush plants to the quirky lights fixtures on the ceiling, the mirrors on the wall, and of course, the garden space. My room was very spacious, and the staff was very kind. When I needed some hot water, they provided me with a kettle for the duration of my stay. I also enjoyed unlimited the lemon water by the reception and just the general vibe was very cool and welcoming. would definitely stay again. The neighbourhood is an urban mix and match , but nothing I found I could handle.

Verified reviewAbsolutely nothing. This place couldn’t even provide hot water, which is the bare minimum anyone should expect from a hotel. The rooms were made as if like 2 minutes before the checkin time which was totally evident
The list is endless: no hot water for a shower, guests being shuffled around like luggage just to access basic services, a front desk staff member who refused to give his name and acted with complete rudeness, and a manager who was invisible the entire time. This property has no respect for its guests and should be avoided at all costs. I am demanding a refund because they completely failed to deliver even the basics.

Verified reviewThe interior decoration was well designed. It was inviting and cosy once you were through the front door.
The location. The services. The house keeping. The area is very rough. Rough sleepers and drinkers right outside the door. Not safe after dark. Breakfast is very expensive and basic 18 euros each so buy included it’s far the better deal. Housekeeping didn’t make the beds properly, didn’t replenish glasses or coffee. Only 1 lift for the whole hotel and 2 steps up to get to our room. Sofabed very uncomfortable.

Verified reviewLovely hotel, very handy for Brussels Midi station and the Eurostar terminal. Huge room, great bathroom, comfy beds and nice decor. We didn't eat or drink there so can't comment on that but otherwise, a great stay.
Area around is in the middle of building works so probably didn't look at it's best!

Neighbourhood is the worst location of the city. Homeless and drug addict. Everyone sleeps in the square. Was not possible to walk to the hotel because it’s basically unsafe. Ugliest part is Location . It was no hot water on the 5th floor however we managed it somehow and last night they relocated us to ground floor .

Verified reviewFriendly staff and nice reception area. The room was comfortable and large with a corridor to the ensuite bathroom, which was also large. It was close to the station and reasonably close to the centre.
The only issue was the sound that carried from the hallway (cleaners talking in the early morning) or from upstairs (people walking), though this didn't bother us much.

Poor water pressure We were in room 301 and the WiFi signal was only good in half the room. Shower leaked onto the floor. But spotless inside and main bed very comfortable.

Verified reviewGood part was that we could leave our luggage while exploring the city. Perhaps the hotel has more positive aspects, but we were unable to appreciate them due to our disappointing experience.
Please read before choosing this hotel. First of all, we were given a room in the basement, which was said to be quiet and spacious with a view of the garden. In reality, we could see only part of the garden, and it was extremely noisy at night (till 12 am), even though the windows were shut. It did not feel good to live in a basement. The Wi-Fi connection did not work. The towels had a strong smell of chlorine, there was no kettle to make tea, and no proper space to store clothes. The rooms was located to “staff only” room and from the morning cleaning staff was noisy. There is no noise isolation at all. The station and city centre are nearby, but to get there you have to walk through unpleasant areas, which creates a wrong impression of Brussels overall. Fortunately, we stayed only one night, as we would not have chosen to remain longer.

Verified reviewThe location was perfect to catch the Eurostar very early in the morning. The room was tastefully decorated. Perfect for a quick over-nighter. Staff were helpful when I couldn't turn off my TV.
The nearby area was very dirty and felt a bit unsafe at night. The room I had was quite small and looked onto a lightwell vertical shaft. But I wasn't staying for long so it was ok.
