Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOnly one tiny downside was the water, it tasted slightly sulphurous, which the kids didn't like. Boiled it was fine and we just bought some bottled water to drink - so it wasn't an issue.
It’s an absolutely beautiful property and the hosts are very welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the Family Room with Private Bathroom which had a really well equipped kitchen. The Family Room was very comfortable and well laid out. The garden of the property is picture perfect; we loved the geraniums in the chicken run! We got to pet the sheep and really enjoyed just wandering about looking at the fish and animals. Our kids both have allergies and the hosts were able to recommend a nice restaurant not too far away where we could eat. It is very easy to get to the local train station by car and then a very short trip into Bruges by train. We would definitely like to return it was so nice and next time use the pool!

United KingdomIdyllic place! Beautiful grounds, very clean apartment, comfortable beds. Easy flexible check in. Nice hosts. Convenient location between Ghent and Brugge (we drove to Aatler, parked there and took a 12-min train to both cities).

UkraineI read the reviews before booking. The water does have a slight smell of grey, but it's not terrible. The room for 4 is on the 2nd floor and it will be difficult or impossible for people with disabilities to climb the ladder. But this is just a warning from me for those who really care about these things. Everything suited us.
The property is located in a quiet picturesque location between the cities of Gent and Brugge (25-30 min by car, 25-30 km). The owners are very friendly, the territory is incredibly beautiful and well-kept, Katrien greeted us warmly and showed us our apartments. There was a cake on the table as a greeting, which was very nice. The room on the 2nd floor is comfortable for a family of 4 people, has everything necessary for a long stay, is clean and tidy. There are animals on the territory: ponies, lambs. There is also a pool with 2 fish and clean and clear water where you can swim if you wish. There is also a place to relax outside near the pool where you can sit in friendly company or relax in a hammock. For children there is a children's car on pedals, my daughter really liked it. For those who travel by car, this is one of the best housing options in this area. Thank you Katrien and Victor for a wonderful stay.

UkraineAfter noisy cities with a lot of tourists, the ViktorHof house turned out to be especially pleasant! Located between Bruges and Ghent - convenient! There is everything for relaxation here: a pond where you can swim, a sauna, and birdsong. The hosts are very friendly and caring. There is a restaurant nearby with delicious and inexpensive food. And breakfast must be ordered in advance, although you can cook it yourself - everything is there for this. I recommend this mini-hotel to you! Ни
