Reviews of Kyurkchievi Guest House

Good location and easy to find. We booked for 2 adults and 2 children for 2 nights. Our main trip was to the lakes, so we needed a place to sleep, nothing more. There is a basic kitchen next to the garden with plenty of space. The owners were helpful.

No Wifi. One of the rooms is very dark. The bathrooms need better cleaning (there was mold in each of them) and one of them proper renovation, as there was water leaking and the door was not in a good condition due to humidity/water. The other bathroom was fine, but there was constantly changing pressure while we took a shower.

What a beautiful place to stay, quiet, with a nice garden, great location next to the city center but most of all - the hosting family was so polite and helpful and warm - an example of the famious Bulgarian hospitality!

The location, but nothing else really…

The house has seen better days for sure… my room didn’t even lock and I was told that it’s ok to leave it open since there is no crime in the area… thank god I had nothing valuable with me! Come on, the room is accessible from the street! The fact that the maid gate didn’t lock also didn’t help… The mattress is straight hell… it’s basically a wooden slate. Pillows were lumpy… The sheets had some plant debris and stuff on the, but were clean - they air dry them in the sun, just outside the rooms. The bathroom was not as clean as it should be and the glass shelf above the sink decided to fall down on its own during the night… where I was told that it only falls partially on occasion… “but it’s ok…”. Come on… The water pressure is practically non existent… and the “hot” water is just lukewarm, so don’t expect to take a relaxing shower. The lack of AC made things even worse, not only because of the heat, but also because of the fact that we had to sleep with the windows open at night, and the live music from the nearby restaurant until 3/4 at night was crazy loud…

The room was pretty big. The sheets were washed, but you could tell they were old. The room is surrounded by trees and vines, so you had a pretty view outside the windows. It's on a secondary street, so it's quiet. The old man who welcomed us was really nice.

The bathroom was a little old and maybe a bit unclean.

The lady who runs the place is super nice. The garden is lovely

The design is old, no much sunlight in the room, but feels homey and nice. Will return!

Its a nice house with little apartments/rooms with private bathroom, balcony with 4able and chairs to drink your morning drink. The room is good and spaciouse and the bathroom is small but ok for 2 people. Its right in the center of the village. The owners are very nice and helpfull😄

Id recommend to put a mop in the bathroom!

The reason to stay here are the hosts. They have no English but are so welcoming, kind, and generous. Honestly- the most genuine lovely people in Bulgaria. We were presented with wine, snacks and rakia on arrival 😀. The place has a homely feel with nice gardens. This location was perfect for our journey to Rila 7 Lakes. Also don't miss the public swimming pools.

The room is basic and clean and very good value for the little paid. With the hosts hospitality, we could overlook the many minor maintenance issues in the room (lights not working, toilet water running, bathroom shelf falling down, etc). Hosts 10/10. Room 8/10.

Separate entrance, beautiful garden and nice view from a small terrace :) The room is basic yet very spacious and comfortable .The hosts are super friendly and helpful

Very nice and big room with personal bathroom. A lovely balcony with a mountain view. Recommend 100%!
