Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BulgariaThe hotel is great for families, especially with children. The food was quite good but it could have been a little better quality.

RomaniaRoom (#608) view was pool view, not sea view (ok, we can see the sea if we climb from the balconee, but I payed 200EUR/night for sea view, not for pool view (see the pics attached) Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner are a constant struggle to find a table, and constant noise of cutlery and people moving from places to places. The restaurant might not be able to accomodate the amount of people that were present at that time. Low-avarege food, nothing to justify a 200EUR/night room! Hotel Manager was never to be found - I expressed my disapointment towards the hotel room type and the facilities to the receptionist, and they told me everytime the hotel manager was not available. Sea shore is dirty, full of plants, nobody did anyting to remove it during our stay (see pics) Staff are uninterested in working, all the time on their phones playing, doing their duties with bare minimum. Room interior outdated, not ok beds (they bend very easily, because of the wear), you have back pain after 2 nights. The water slides (the good ones) start around 11AM and end 4PM, with a big "lunch" break... Do we have to have the schedule?? Not fair! It was the second visit to this hotel (the first one 3-4 years ago, thing were better at that time, that is why we come back here) - big mistake!
nice location, well positioned.

UkraineOn the downside, the water in the pools felt quite cold, so we preferred swimming in the sea, where the water was warmer and more comfortable. The evening children's animation could use more variety. While different animated characters appeared each night, the overall program felt repetitive, with the same songs and dances every time.
We had a wonderful family vacation at Rate Sol Nessebar Mare All Inclusive! The hotel grounds are fantastic: well-maintained, spacious, and offering plenty of activities for everyone. The kids absolutely loved the variety of activities available for them! The easy access to the beach was a big plus, and the multiple pools, along with the mini waterpark featuring slides, were a huge hit with the whole family.

HungaryMaybe the best all-inclusive hotel at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. There are so many kiosks in the garden where you can eat various and delicious food like paella, panini, burgers, fish and chips, etc. The sandy beach is lovely, there are many pools and the aquapark is open for a long time (3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon, which is longer then in other similar hotels). The variety of food is excellent in the main restaurant. It is not the hotel's failure that many guests cannot behave appropriately in an all you can eat restaurant and they take out extreme amount of food, which they cannot eat and therefore the level of wasted food is very high. However it is annoying to see that you cannot get a single piece of baklava half an hour after the opening of the restaurant because dozen pieces are taken out by some other guests, who then leave it at their table as a waste...

IsraelSome of the food was a less impressive (most of the desserts, breads and pastries, some of the fruits, sometimes some of the meat), the Sushi at night is a big NO-NO! Coffee machines could be better if the milk powder wasn't so sweet... The water in the pool contained too much chlorine, so your eyes tend to burn easily. Could be nice if there were real lifeguards around, not just for the slides, and some enforcement of no smoking in the pool areas. Also, as expected, the need to mark seats at the pool early in the morning is quite a chore when coming to a vacation - a little disturbing and taking away from the fun of it.
Food was okay for the most part, always found something we like. salads and veggies, cheeses and special restaurants (Chinese and Italian) were great. Also the snacks throughout the day were more than enough. Water park and slides were a great attraction, spent there most of the time. The room was big and spacious, nice balcony, not fancy but well maintained and cleaned every day. The kids loved the night shows, always asked to go, every time. Great coffee at the lobby bar (much needed in the morning, better if opened earlier). The staff at the front desk was kind and helpful.

United StatesI was looking at an almost empty restaurant that had only available reservations 2-3 days away. Didn’t understand why. Small gym with limited choice of weights serving 3 hotels( yes, some people use the gym even on vacation). You need to make a reservation to use the sauna 10 minutes even though there was no one using it at that moment. Limited parking space. Limited ice cream.
The beach was nice with calm water

HungaryThe dinner has ended at 21:00 with a hard stop, meaning even if you stopped bringing any food, you could not finish your dinner peacefully as the waiters are coming to your table in every minutes and tries to collect everything. Would be good to leave the quests finishing their dinner or dinner should be served until 22:00.
We liked the location, see coast, foods.

IsraelAll inclusive hotel should contain more variety of food for kids in the breakfasts and evenings. There's no diversity and it's expected to have more yogurts and milk products in closed small boxes. Also, the cereals aren't in closed boxes and being dried out with the time. The shower isn't working properly and you had to maintain the correct stream for a long time. The WIFI is very very poor in the rooms and barely worked. The safe isn't for free and you have to pay 7 BGV everyday, it's basic for all inclusive hotels. There are some attractions in the hotel that are still by payment and it's something that should be considered while you're paying for all inclusive. A little bit missing the point.
The hotel has everything you wish, big complex of pools. aquapark for all the ages, a lot of restaurants if you don't want a standard dining room. The variety of the food and the drinks that you can take all over the day is enough. For the whole week - we didn't have any need to go outside the hotel for restaurant or supermarket. The program for kids is very nice and you have variety of shows in the evening. It was very cool. The access to the beach is straight from the pool, and you can take the food with you to the sea, very convenient. The staff is very nice and the rooms are being cleaned everyday ! There's a change in the hotel, very good prices !

RomaniaThe rules for using the slides must be more clear. The staff from Burger corner and beach bar need to be more polite. The inflatable slides on the sea side must be better secured and the rustied chains replaced.
Location, facilities, all the green spaces, the restaurant, reception and cleaning personnel.

IsraelFantastic Family Vacation at Sol Nessebar Mare! We stayed at Sol Nessebar Mare from August 1st to 7th, and it was truly one of the best family vacations we’ve had! The resort is perfect for families with kids — the water park is a dream come true, with amazing slides and pools for all ages. Our children had endless fun every single day, whether at the pools or on the beach, which is just a few steps away. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed. We especially appreciated how helpful and friendly the staff were — always smiling and ready to assist. The all-inclusive meals were excellent, with a wide variety of tasty and fresh food throughout the day. There was always something delicious for both kids and adults. The snack bars and drinks by the pool were a big bonus! And the location is perfect — quiet, green, and peaceful, but still close enough to the Old Town of Nessebar for a fun family walk or a short trip to explore. We came back home with big smiles, great memories, and a strong desire to return again. Highly recommended for any family looking for a fun, stress-free, and memorable vacation by the sea!
