Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GreeceIt was exactly as we imagined it and even better! The rooms were huge and the wooden interior was beautiful all around the house. The sauna and the indoor pool was amazing and we had a great time and a lot of fun! The hostess was very helpful and kind and she welcomed us with very thoughtful gifts!

United KingdomNothing not to like about this place. Be aware walking into bovorets would be tricky as no pavements.
We have just left the castle after an amazing 7 night stay! We booked the castle as the 3 bed villa. This actually means you have the entire place to yourself. Booking.com has this listed as the villa option but also separately as individual apartments. In reality this is all the same place just sold in two different ways. We stayed as a party of 8 - two families sharing. 4 adults and 4 kids. The castle is around 3km outside borovets but it’s an easy drive and we found it easy to find. We also found a taxi that was able to take all 8 of us to town for 30levs. We had him in speed dial and he was very responsive. It worked really well for us. The owners met us on arrival and showed us around. The place is spectacular. It’s huge. Each room is full of character and we were amazed as we explored the building. The top floor is one massive room with two double beds, made up as twins for us. Separated by a fire place. This had its own huge en suite bathroom. The first floor had two huge bedrooms each with a lounge area and loads of wardrobes. One bedroom has a walk in wardrobe area and both have huge en suites. All bedrooms have huge smart TV’s. The ground floor has the living area. It consists of the cigar room which is stocked with cigars and various Brandie’s and whiskeys that you can drink (at an extra cost- paid by the bottle). This also had a large smart tv. The middle room is enormous with two separate lounge areas and another smart tv. Then you have a dining room with a huge banquet style table. In the basement is a kitchen and the spa suite which has a HUGE hot tub. It’s always on and always very warm. We loved it in here. There is also a large sauna that heated up quickly and was very welcomed after a long day on the slopes. There is also a gym and a shower room too. There is a detached double garage on the villa grounds where we parked both cars for the week which was great not having to scrape ice/snow off them.

IsraelEverything was perfect
This was by far the most enjoyable stay I have ever had. The team was incredibly professional and helped us with everything we needed. The Castle was top notch luxury. From the spa, to the cigar room, everything was amazing. We were greeted upon entry with the lovely staff who gave us a thorough tour of the estate. They also gifted us a bottle of wine and plenty of other gifts. If you're looking for a peaceful luxurious stay, I highly recommend The Castle. 10/10 experience. Everyone who visits Bulgaria must stay here!

BulgariaThe place is even more mesmerising when you see it with your own eyes. There are so many details to enjoy so that you will need time to explore all of them. We had little time in The Castle but we would definitely come back! The hosts are friendly and well-mannered.

RomaniaIn the first night we didn’t have hot water, in the second night the water was ok, warm, but not hit water. They ask 100 euro per hour if you bring in a photographer to make you some photos.
Very nice place. The castle make you feel like in a fairy tale.
