Reviews of Botanika Hotel

The property was cosy and elegant, the room was clean and big, good for working as well, the bed was comfortable, the ac system is good. The staff was kind and welcoming.

This time the wifi connection didn’t work very well, there were also issues with the toilet flush. The net around the bed doesn’t work to prevent mosquitoes as there are big gaps. It would be nice to have strawberry instead of fig jam with the croissant at breakfast.

The tv or the sauna didn't work, do they ever? Not having the chance to pay in francs, the figue jam on the breakfast (with these prices you could afford strawberry jam I think), expensive prices in the restaurant

Location quite good and in the safe neighbourhood.. both persons working at reception were quite good, attentive & friendly! My room was also quite goodl!

bit pricey.. also airport transfers aren't that cheap either..

Excellent service, very pleasant place. Delicious breakfast. I can confirm the laundry service. Truly a great spot, just like all of Kigali, which makes an amazing impression. It really makes you want to return.

That we left it.

Just avoid it. Booked for two people and they only offered ONE breakfast. When asked they could not show on the reservation where it said only one breakfast would be honoured on a two person booking. Laundry facilities were certainly not available as advertised. Mosquito net was utterly useless. Gaps everywhere which allowed the little buggers in. No extra pillows when asked. Staff bewildered when asked for a second towel (again, the room was booked for two). There are much better places to stay in Bujumbura. Just avoid this hotel & all will be good.

Excellent, friendly staff. AC worked well and the wifi was good given that there are often problems with the connection in Burundi in general. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Having my clothes washed was included in the price, which was a nice surprise.

The toilet and the shower worked well but could do with a bit of refurbishing.

Excellent 3 nights stay at Botanika. Nice room, perfect location and awesome restaurant. Would definitely stay there again!

Enclosed space with beautiful garden, clean and quiet, makes you forget the hassle and bassle outside. No pressure to pay on arrival, paid at end, staff always very helpful

Staff and services were great. Botanika has a boutique hotel quality. It was quiet and easy going although in the middle of downtown.

Hotel policy to force payment in USD because it was booked online does not make sense. Furthermore, we were advised of this at the last minute and they could not provide us with adequate change.
