The location can't be beat, only a few minutes from the airport and overlooking beautiful Lake Tanganyika. The pool area was clean, beautiful, and tranquil -- definitely the highlight of the property. The grounds around the hotel are beautiful and well maintained. The buffet breakfast was nice each morning. And all the staff were kind.

If this hotel had been half the price, it would've been just fine. But for $190 USD/night (what I'd pay for a decent hotel in the States), I expected much more. We stayed at a hotel in Gitega that only cost $50 USD/night that was actually nicer. Most irritating was the AC. We were in a family room which meant one queen bed in one room and two twin beds in a second room, connected by a hall with bathroom. The AC was only in the main bedroom, so the kids' room was blazing hot and we had to ask for a fan to cool their room. Even in the main bedroom, AC barely worked. It had a low, medium, and high setting, but only worked on low, meaning it was still stifling hot in our room unless you were right next to the AC unit. Also, be aware that the mosquitoes are intense in this location (probably due to the proximity to the lake). Our main bed had a mosquito net, but the kids' beds did not, so we had to ask them to come and rig up a makeshift mosquito net. Also, the toilet seat in our bathroom did not fit on the toilet. It seemed designed for a toilet half the size, so it was actually very uncomfortable to sit on while doing our business. As for the restaurant, on our first night after a long day of traveling, we just wanted dinner before heading to bed. We arrived at 6, ordered at 6:30, and didn't get our food until 8:30. What was supposed to be a quick meal turned into a painfully long wait and we were SO hungry. When the food finally arrived, my spaghetti was still a bit undercooked and chewy. We did have a second meal here later in the week, and it was much faster and much more delicious. So, the service can be good, but not consistent. As nice as the pool was, we were surprised they don't offer pool towels, so we had to get some regular towels from the front desk. They're very stingy with towels it seems. They kept giving us only 2 in our room even though we had 4 people, so we had to ask for more towels every single day.

It is best and probably only good hotel in Bujumbura. The Italian owner is there every day to make sure all is well and the kitchen serves good quality food with all dente pasta’s and very good cappuccino’s😋

The rooms are ok, but can use upgrade. But for Burundi they are still very good

Beautiful property. Safe location and great staff. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We really enjoyed the breakfast. Airport shuttle was very comfortable as well.

The room was very outdated. The A/C was weak and there wasn’t a fan to help on hot afternoons. Seemed a bit overpriced for the state of our room.

I have stayed at the hotel three times. The location is stunning on the shore of Lake Tanganyika. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They provided me with a good meeting room for my training program. The food is good and the rooms are comfortable.

The hotel was in a beautiful garden. Immaculately maintained. Security was present at all times, not that I felt it was needed. It represented value for money for the included breakfast.
