United StatesMy key stopped working several times during my short stay forcing me to go up to my room, back down to reception and back up before I could relax.
The staff at the hotel are all very helpful and accommodating. I had trouble with my key staying active multiple times and that was annoying but the staff helped me quickly and were very apologetic. Well located.

United StatesOddly, we had noise in both our rooms. The first stay (room 202) we could hear the upstairs neighbor walking around at night. The second room (311) I swear we were hearing construction sounds from 4am - 7am on a Saturday morning. There was street noise in the 311 room that was loud (honking) during the day, but fine for us at night.
Hotel Cortez excelled at almost everything and was the nicest place we stayed on our 3 week trip to Peru and Bolivia. Reliable hot showers, hot water in the sink, functioning plumbing, clean, with great WIFI, a mini fridge, and air conditioning. We ate the best hotel breakfast of our trip with many options. We also ate in the hotel restaurant for 3 dinners over our two separate stays at the hotel. The staff was excellent. We were unable to book a trip to the local sand dunes with multiple tour companies. Within 15 minutes of talking to the hotel staff, we had a private tour booked the next day - with water, snacks and sandboards, for less than half the tour price.

Great hotel in the heart of SC, super clean, great facilities and staff. Breakfast is pretty good with basic options, great coffee. Beds and pillows are super comfortable. Definitely 5 star hotel. Interior design is interesting and sswimming pool area is very relaxing. Staff super attentive. Highly recommend to stay in SC.

Great pool and the hotel's garden where we also had breakfast. The hotel is 15 min from the city center by walking. The staff is helpful, but only one person speaks English. Very uncommon for the 5 stars hotel.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay remarkable. If you need to use a driver I hope you meet the hotel’s driver Freddy, he’ll take care of you. this was my third time staying here, and they did not disappoint!
