How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewSecond time staying in this hotel in La Paz. The facility is well equipped and the staff are exceptional, they provide different services in the hotel such as money exchange, taxi, breakfast box for early departure
The location is in a good neighbourhood, but to visit city centre, we have to rely mostly on taxis.

Verified reviewIncredible breakfast buffet with so much choice and you can order eggs to be cooked in a variety of ways. Excellent fitness centre and pool area, temperature of water was lovely and warm too. Staff were so friendly and helpful. It’s also in a nice location with lots of nice restaurants nearby. Room was very comfortable, shower was amazing.

Only one small minus, please always prepare two towels, two bottles of water for a room booked for two people (king size bed) but the staff was very helpful with ordering airport taxi.

Verified reviewClean , airy , modern with nice restaurant with big windows. Our room was great with lots of space and well appointed bathroom with fridge and a great view of the city The fitness room along with a spa /hot tub and swimming pool was used by us the first day as we acclimatized to the high altitude. Great location as well , close to restaurants and 20 min walk to Teleferico. The staff were wonderful and I would especially like to acknowledge Ernesto who helped me set up an early check in , massages and cab pick up before we arrived . He also was our guide for the rest of the stay and always had a smile on his face . The breakfast buffet was good with many food choices and we particularly loved having the chicken soup for dinner after long days of tours and dealing with effects of the high altitude.
No garden but that may be hard to have in a city like La Paz given its altitude, lack of natural trees and limited land. Need tissue boxes in bathrooms .

Verified reviewRooms were exceptionally clean, staff were always on top of things (eg had box breakfast for us on early morning departure; cleaned room the moment we left for tour), breakfast was satisfactory, 24-7 coffee a nice bonus.
There was very little not to like but if you are elderly and want to walk around, the hotel is up a slight hill.

Verified reviewThe staff were amazing and went above and beyond for us! From preparing dinner for us when we arrived at midnight to checking in on us when there were strikes in the city! The facilities (pool and jacuzzi) are great and such good value for money in my opinion. The free breakfast has an exceptional range. We had such a wonderful time that we decided to come back for 12 hours before our flight. All receptionists were incredible
Not a problem for us but it can be far from the city centre (great for us as there were protests happening in the city). Very safe location and plenty restaurants nearby.

Verified reviewThe comfort, location but primarily the staff. They went out of there way to make me feel at hone. Special recognition to Diego my driver, Ernesto at the front desk and Oscar at the restaurant.
They could pur hase an abductor, adductor machine for the gym. Also Place more than one bottle of water as a courtesy in the rooms. LA PAZ is very dry.

Verified reviewThe majority of the staff were fantastic. The beds were so comfortable and the facilities as a whole were very impressive. Very close to the best restaurants in La Paz (walking distance). Great value for money.
No complaints other than the staff could have been a little more on top of the cooked breakfast when it ran out. Had to wait for it to be restocked. Also there were funny tastes to the fruit juice and so we avoided that but the rest of the breakfast was great and very good variety.

Verified reviewAfter 3 months of travelling and staying in hostels it was an absolute treat to stay here. The bed was giant and super comfy, amazing views of La Paz and the restaurant serves excellent food and cocktails. The highlights were the breakfast buffet serving a huge variety of good quality items plus the pool, gym and massage we received in the spa, which we were able to use after check out.

Verified reviewThe nicest hotel ww stayed at in Bolivia. Bathrooms, restaurant, bed, room amenities, plumbing, lighting, and staff were all at a par with very nice business hotels anywhere else in the world.
Nothing! Be aware that it’s 30 minutes from the historic center during busy daylight hours, and an hour from the airport during the day, so plan accordingly
