Reviews of Atlantis Copacabana Hotel 3 stars

This hotel has a perfect location between Ipanema and Copacabana. Around the hotel are a lot of restaurants and a supermarket is only a few minutes away. The room is spacious and clean. The bed is very comfortable. The neighborhood is safe.

In the night it was sometimes noisy.

Very good location, almost just across the street to the picturesque Pedra do Arpoador view point. A lot of restaurants are around the corner, as well as grocery stores. Many bus stops are nearby for those who want to experience the city's public transits. Room is clean and size is adequate. Breakfast is good. The staff are nice. The rooftop view is wonderful. Wifi works fine.

Sound proof can be improved.

The breakfast was incredible. Best cakes I had in a while. Comfortable bed and pillows and lots of space. Location perfect for being in Ipanema.

The bathroom was not ventilated and it did not have a window. Too small.

GOT bedbugs. Hundreds of bites. Had to leave because of this. No refund. Staff basically called me a liar , althou I showed my body and the bites to them. I tried to contact manager 5 days in a row but never got to meet her. Destroyed my holliday. Worst hotel ever.

Great sea views from 11th floor room and from roof terrace. Wonderful sunsets. Location is hotel's main asset. Friendly staff.

Room in major need of refurbishment. Significant water staining around windows and ceiling; one electric socket coming away from wall; large part of bathroom door frame covered with masking tape. Old windows mean no sound proofing. In reception women's bathroom the cracked toilet seat was taped together!!!

The location is exceptional as you are exactly in the middle of copacaba and Ipanema.

The breakfast could be improved. The hotel doesn’t restock some breakfast items, so food runs out as time goes by. You have to go early in the morning to have a better option.

I had a spacious room with a great view. The breakfast was great. The staff are fantastic, from the front desk, to the housekeeping staff to -- especially the security officer at the front desk, who helped me tremendously with a lost phone.

The bed linens were lower quality than other hotels. There is no clear information about how to get the pool -- I didn't even know there was one until the last day of my stay! There is no information on the phone or beside it about what numbers to call for the front desk, housekeeping, or an outside line (although people don't really need that these days), but the other two are necessary. It doesn't require the expense of putting something on the phones. A small laminated card next to he phone would do it -- or the front desk give that (plus directions to the pool) at check-in.

That is not the first time I choose this hotel. The location and the breakfast pays every cent invested in this reservation. All the staff members are very lovely, and attentive. Few steps away from Ipanema Beach, Copacabana Beach and Arpoador. Literally 25minutes away from SDU airport. Recommended.
