It wasn’t a big problem, but the van we arrived in wasn’t able to go up the steep hill where Babeu is located. The street it’s on seems a little sketchy at first but we had no issues.

The property was very well located, close to the beach. Great value for the money! We just needed an easy place to crash for a couple of nights before our flight home, and it was perfect. It was quiet, the shared kitchen was great, the shower had hot water and good pressure and there was even a little fridge in the room. The building is actually pretty nice inside, and considering the price it was more than we expected.

There was a lack of plugs (which made it a little bit difficult to charge our devices at the same time, especially on the balcony). A little expensive given the location / services but it was Carnival period after all :)

The staff was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed (thank you Càssio!). The room itself was quite large, and I loved the little balcony/kitchenette area. Despite being a little uphill, it was fairly close to the beach and to the best padaria ever!

I had to wait for half an hour before someone came down for check in, the beds were really wobbly & uncomfortable l. People kept turning the Aircon on and off so the temperature in the room changed all night long. Often there was no toilet paper, no soap to wash hands anywhere, shower electrocuted me, people.coming in all.night.long

Vey clean, friendly staff, good facilities for being a hostel, nice kitchen, drinkable water available, good location close to Leme beach, easy going staff. They allowed me to store my luggage after checkout until my flight, I was even allowed to take shower & given towels. Very nice place. Highly recommend this place !!

This place has a scheme of fraudulent reviews to get it a better average because no one in their right mind would give this a good score. The facilities are TERRIBLE, it has mould in the bathroom and at one point a cockroach came into my room. The power went out in my room. There’s never anyone in reception to solve any issues. Avoid at all costs. The mattress was a soft foam that you sink into and feel the wood slats below. The cleaning leaves a lot to be desired. It’s basically a scam considering what they charge!

Pictures are not true to property. Room did not look as pictured. The property is located up a steep hill and gated with a code to get into which is safe but the motorbikes and people hanging around outside can make it feel intimidating and gives a feel as if you have just entered a favelas or a drug check point without being invited or escorted by a tour guide. We did not stay in the room due to this as felt unsafe with our small children.

Communication from staff was helpful to find and get into the apartment and also translation.

A fun hostel walking distance to the beach! A beautiful kitchen and great availability of different types of rooms for your needs. They were super kind and let us leave our luggage after we checked out! The staff made us feel really comfortable and were always willing to help. The AC worked really well in our room for those hot Rio temps.
