How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The first night there was a festival nearby with very load music! Couldn’t sleep till 4am.. I would have been nice to be informed early. We informed the reception, but did not get any feedback later..

Verified reviewVery nice bungalows - worth the price. Given the strategic location there is a constant wind channel going through the bungalows and cools them down. A lovely place.
Northing. Just make sure that you are having a car, else it might be a bit far away from the kite beach.

Location is two blocks from the beach although the garden makes up for the lack of sea view.

Verified reviewThe bungalow's were very cool and rustic. Each place had a hammock on the deck and a bed swing underneath which were really comfy. There are only 5 bungalow's that so it is very quiet and personalized. They clean your room when you want. The grounds were beautiful and the security is excellent. The room includes a fridge and snacks that are offered at a very reasonable price.
The property had an infinity pool, but it was not turned on during my entire stay. The restaurant is only open for breakfast it would be nice if it served for all meals as you have to walk a small ways to get to the downtown.

Verified reviewAMAZING new small hotel in Cumbuco (6 rooms in total)! The rooms were beautiful and big (very comfortable for two people for a long stay or even 3 people for shorter stays). The rooms are well designed: plugs everywhere, Wifi router in each room with fastest Wifi I've had in any hotel in Ceara, comfortable beds, and clean towels and bed sheets. (I highly recommend staying here instead of 0031 Boutique Hotel which is more expensive and not as nice)
The property is still new so the garden isn't very lush yet but that takes time.

Verified reviewNice little poussada near the centrer of Cumbuco. The bungalows are great and comfy with view on the sea and a relaxing area with hanging bed under the bungalow at ground level. Due to an overbooking mishap with a young married couple we couldn't sleep in the intended room but ended up in a smaller room without being charged due to the incident. Our host was very kind and accommodating and even introduced us the best restaurants in town.

Verified reviewThis accommodation is definitely a 10 in the ranking. Authentic friendly hosts, family friendly. The rooms, single bungalows on stilts are real gems. Many details are lovingly brought in. A beautiful place to relax. Breakfast is lovingly prepared, delicious omelets. The entire complex is very well maintained and an absolute insider tip. Vehicle is an advantage, for the center not mandatory, for excursions can also be organized buggy's.

The location is perfect and closely located to Outro Beach Club, everything was super clean and the owner of the place is super nice. Two of us had allergies and they made lactose free and gluten free breakfast options which were delicious!!

We had two cockroaches incidents and walking to the city center for dinning out although not to far (8 minutes), it's not enjoyable due to poor side walks.

Verified reviewThis boutique-style property is ran by very accommodating professional family. unlike other places we stayed at in the area, this casa provides a quiet, comfortable, tranquil vibe. Each of 5 bungalows is an independent residence. It’s clean, stylish, thought-through. We were Kiting on a nearby Cumbuco beach, but not everybody who stays there is a kite boarder. We didn’t really talk to our neighbors but everyone is very friendly. Would highly recommend to everyone.
