Because of the remoteness it is necessary to take a taxi to go into town, and it‘s a very curvy drive. The lady that welcomed us was not the most welcoming, however the main host is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go again (:

The house is situated on a hill with a magnificent view over the city. The interior design is carefully chosen and creates a very relaxing and beautiful space. Breakfast is very tasty!

He was incredibly helpful, offering great recommendations and always going out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. Alongside the lovely Sara and Frida, he made us feel completely at home. The atmosphere was so special and inviting that we ended up extending our stay from 2 nights to 5. In that price segment I would expect a higher quality and more varied breakfast. While I understand that this is a laid back house rather than a luxury hotel, some little services like help with luggage etc would be appreciated.

The house is amazing, and so is the interior decoration. The view over the bay and sugarloaf mountain are great. The staff is super friendly and very helpful with recommendations in the area.

The baile funk (open air music/party) at the comunidade near the hotel, that played music until the 7.00 in the morning. Maybe invest money in insulation windows?

We would have appreciated if there were more offers for lunch or dining at the villa. Even if the place looks like a cute Eden garden, the surroundings can be pretty noisy, and people need to be aware that even if the area is cute, it is still dangerous. Two groups of guests have seen their phone stolen while being around the villa during our stay.

The place is really remote from the busy city center, which we appreciated ! A quiet place in a busy city. At the same time the villa is very close to nice coffee shops, food stores, and restaurants of Santa Theresa. The place is wonderful and very comfortable. The team was really helpful in booking taxis, sharing recommendations about places to visit or what to do. We stayed there for 5 nights as we were looking for a restful place: we really enjoyed it !!

The location is just a little off the main road so better to reach with Uber.

Such an amazing place, the decor, the staff, the breakfast are just the best. Once you arrive the place it is just unbelievable, the view is stunning and if you are an architecture lover this is the place to be. Plus the super nice staff, a very great welcome and one of my favorite breakfast, sitting outside in front of the view and the pool, just like a dream!

The bathroom , particularly the shower needed to be fixed. It leaked onto the floor. Waited almost 40 minutes to check in.

Absolutely stunning interior. Air conditioning worked very well. Breakfast was lovely. Santa Teresa was a lovely little town a nice break from the beach area.

I wouldn’t change a thing.

Everything about this property is stunning. The rooms, the location and the view!!! Unreal! The pool is perfectly cool and the jacuzzi is lovely at night.

It was a little complicated to get Ubers from the city to go to Santa Teresa because of the brick roads and hills, but that’s not a fault of the property - just something to know! Also no restaurant at the property besides breakfast so you will need to explore for lunch and dinner - again this is fine as there is plenty in walking distance just another thing to know if you’re arriving from traveling and tired etc!

Most zen stay in the chaos of Rio! I literally felt like I was in a different city. The hotel/B&B is absolutely amazing. My room had a beautiful balcony overlooking the pool, and the room was HUGE, with a massive bathroom and the best water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was great and you can help yourself to nespresso coffee and water in the kitchen. The pool is dreamy and the little hot tub was very cute if it got cool at night. The staff is all lovely and very friendly and helpful. It was fun to explore the house and see all the beautiful furniture and books. Absolutely recommend, it was a dream. Also MONKEYS!
