How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewI booked specifically a room inside the terminal for my mother and grandmother so they can spend the night at the airport and then to continue with their next flight the day after. My grandmother needs assistance and cannot walk much. The people at the hotel took advantage of them and took them to another facility outside the airport. This is shameful and I’ll raise a complaint to the Consumer Rights at Booking.com and with the asap Paulo authorities.

Please note that we have two units of the hotel in terminal 02, with Fast Sleep Guarulhos By Slaviero on the east side and Fast Sleep Suites on the west side where the reservation was made. The distance between the hotels is approximately 5 minutes walking inside the airport, so the guests may have confused the unit of their reservation. In this case, staff members are authorized to accompany guests to the correct unit to avoid further misunderstandings. We checked our system, and check-in and check-out were completed normally. We asked for clear information about the location of the hotel two days prior our arrival given that weren’t going through immigration due as we were only in transit in Brazil. The staff responded that the hotel was accessible to us, but they didn’t specify that we would have to go through immigration. Not only did it take us over two hours to locate the hotel, and the WhatsApp responses were very slow, but we also lost all the items we had purchased at duty free because we had to go through security again—and the items weren’t allowed (a loss of over $100). Finally, we decided not to stay there as we were disgusted by the whole situation.

I unfortunately can’t say anything about the property itself because I couldn’t find it. I had arrived at the international terminal of the São Paulo airport following a long international flight. I booked a stay at this hotel believing it was easily accessible from the international terminal but to my disappointment, it seems it is located in the domestic terminal and consequently, I would need to go through passport control and enter Brazil. I didn’t have a visa. Moreover, this was more work than I was expecting. Also, the signage is poor. I read the reviews of travelers who were able to find it - it seems - without any problems but I don’t know how. I am pretty well traveled so I blame my inability to find it on the hotel’s lack of clear information and guidance. Instead of this hotel, I highly recommend the TRYP by Wyndham which is located in Terminal 3 and is easily accessible to international travelers seeking a place to sleep or rest during a long layover. Just follow the sign “Hotel” in Terminal 3. It is a bit of a walk but other than that it is fine. Unable to find Fast Sleep, I got a room here for a 6 hour layover - so worth it!

Noise. Walls are very thin so you hear other people’s movements and noise in the corridor. Not a problem for me as I use earphones to block out the noise, but could be an issue for others.
