How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Maria was so welcoming and lovely. She went above and beyond to make our stay the best. The property is located a 10 minute uber from the airport, perfect for early or late flights.

Noisy when other people got up for early flight as our room was at the kitchen

Sweet Maria! She had my grandma’s name, so I knew I was in good hands from the start. Maria greeted my friends and I around midnight, and at that point, we were beyond exhausted. We just needed a place to stay during our layover. I had booked her hostel only about 45 minutes in advance, but when we arrived, we were welcomed into such a warm and clean environment. Now, I’ll be honest, when you first approach her neighboring area, especially at night, you might feel a little apprehensive. But as soon as you step through her gates, everything changes. Maria’s calming presence immediately puts you at ease. The hostel itself was everything you could hope for—Wi-Fi was perfect, the sheets were clean, the bathroom was tidy—honestly, it felt more like a bed and breakfast than a typical hostel, and I loved that. Maria, thank you for being so kind to my friends and I. We will forever be grateful for your hospitality. Honestly, I would’ve paid three times the price for this experience again.

Maria was one of the best, most attentive hosts I've had in Brazil! Her place is lovely, comfortable, clean, and affordable, as well as conveniently located very close to the airport. She was always there to make sure I had everything I needed, answer questions, or just have a chat, and she even messaged to check on me when I'd been out in São Paulo all day to make sure I was alright. I will definitely stay here again if ever I'm flying back in/out of GRU!

ATTENTION! The owner is a fraud and a thief who threatened us. Be aware of her lies and fake reviews here or on other sites (also her answer will be full of lies). The accommodation is not registered in Brazil at all, for 7 people we paid two rooms: one for 6 people, the second for 2 people, so in total 8 beds. Even that he still wanted to pay extra money and put a person at the exit to watch so that we could not leave. We were robbed. As well as the fact that our belongings were lost. The owner also knew exactly when who was taking a shower, while she illegally has cameras everywhere. Of course we did not receive any invoice, only aggressive and contemptuous scream that we are not entitled to any invoice and she "does not have to give them". The rooms also have blankets stolen from airplanes and many more stolen things. This is an illegal business, which, along with everything else, will be dealt with both Booking and the Brazilian police. I VISITED HUNDERDS OF ACCOMMODATIONS BUT THIS ONE WAS THE WORST BY FAR.

The room had no window and the air was irrespirable, maybe it was only ours. The location is not the best, it's safe they say but certainly not pleasant.
Close enough (10 mins walking) to the train to the airport (just one stop, 5 min). The shower was ok, the kitchen good enough to prepare a quick meal.

There are no many places arround tô eat.
