Shower didn't have hot water and the toilet was clogged. The "amazing breakfast" was just bread, deli meaf, and fruit, juice, and coffee.

Not super social..not very international. A lot of friends and family from Brazil so I did not get a backpacker vibe. No wifi in the room, big bummer for me. No free water

Very close to the beach (don't understand the comments saying otherwise, really, it's 300 m away!), a bit away from the noisy part of town. Breakfast is alright, bed was really comfy and you get a private locker and a safe! The place itself is very nice and feels like holiday!

personally to me some of the staff seemed angry with the world and not very friendly.

typical backpackers hostel with manny friendly guests around, solo travelers and groups. really good breakfast included. WIFI works very well. towels not included. good hot water shower. kitchen is small but everything works fine. there are hangout areas. mostly quiet at night.

The only things which need improvement are these in my opinion - there was no refillable water. That’s an absolute must for hotels/hostels these days especially on the island should be mandatory to reduce the waste. Also, couple of times the cleaner lady threw away our soap, which we had on the sink, that’s not nice, especially if there’s no soap provided in the hostel, all containers were empty the whole 5 days I spent there.

Absolutely great hostel. Really clean, super comfy beds, hang out area, kitchen (altho you can only use from 2 pm, as they serve breakfast), nice staff, good location away from the noise but close enough, I just really loved it.

The location. Despite absolutely nothing happened during my stay, I was afraid of returning alone to the hostel at night. There is a slight climb to get to the hostel, for those with wheeled suitcases it may be just a little inconvenient, but nothing that changes my idea of ​​staying there.

I believe Refugio was one of the best Hostels I have ever stayed in. Super clean, comfy bed, friendly staff, fair price, good area if you have to work. I would recommend it to everyone and would return when I can.

Breakfast starts too late: the heat starts early and people prefer to get up early to enjoy the day. I would prefer the bathroom and shower outside the room, due to the noises.

The breakfast is good, however, it's only offered from 8 to 10am which is quite late given that most people want to hike by 8am to avoid the heat. The majority of guests were already waiting around 7.30am in front of the tables. It would be great to offer Breakfast from 7am onwards.

It was a calm and clean hostel. They provided towels. The location is great to avoid any kind of evening noises.
