Nice environment, friendly staff, clean. Quiet.

Great location 3 minute walk to beach. Supermarket within 200 yards. Hostel is very clean, beds are comfortable. Great chilling area to talk to fellow backpackers.

No lock on main room door, definitely needs curtains on beds , no bed light for reading or a bit off privacy. Lights in landing area need to be dimmed at night as guest who enter late evening the room lights up like an airport runway.

Extremely friendly staff! Great strong coffee! Beautiful common area with great music! Very clean! Kitchen has everything you need! I like that the bottom bed was high enough to sit comfortably. I would have definitely extended if they would not close down for general improvement (which again shows how much they care about giving the guest a great stay) :) loved it here!

Upgrade the beds and this would be the perfect hostel

The hostel is quite big, having multiple dorms on the second floor. It has an outdoor area with roofs, and a kitchen, which were always available to sit, work, or chat with other guests, although not being overly spacious. There are power plugs available for every bed, as well as plenty of them in the communal areas. The receptionists (especially David) were so nice, and polite, always being available, and helpful. You can also book boat tours at the reception. The location is great, you reach the town center in 3 minutes and the nearest beach in 5 minutes. The kitchen, rooms, and communal areas have everything one needs. Towels are available for rent.

Notice that there can be power cuts, which seem to be quite frequent on the island. There was no electricity for at least 6 hours during my stay, so I recommend taking that into account. The beds are a bit hard, as the mattresses are thin.

The location amazing

I enjoyed my stay despite the hostel was full when I stayed there. Specially the staff was very kind and it is very good value for money.

The staff was super friendly!!

No individual lights for the beds, no mirror in the room, nowhere to put your water bottle/ book/ medicine if you are on the top bunker, all towels the same color (so they get mixed up in the room), not enough storage per person in the room, no hair dryer nor umbrella in the hostel to borrow. Plus I paid 50 reais more in a day tour then the rest of the people on my boat because I bought it in the hostel reception.

The dorm room was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. There was drinking water, and the bathrooms and dorm was very clean. The air conditioning worked great- it’s on from 8pm-8am. There was a couple of common areas and a little bar. It’s definitely a great hostel and I’d come back.

Only 3 little lockers to lock stuff in a 4 bedroom dorm.

I loved everything about this hostel. The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. I loved the kitchen and the way it was organised. It was very easy to make friends in this hostel, the leisure area made this really organic. The bathroom was also really clean and lovely.

The hospitality of the staff at this hostel was exceptional! Really enjoyed my stay. Clean, great facilities, relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The dorm beds could do with having curtains to close for a bit of privacy whilst sleeping.

This hostel offers a truly tranquil escape from the everyday hustle. The serene atmosphere promotes relaxation and a sense of calm. Cleanliness is clearly a priority, evident in the spotless rooms and common areas. Guests can enjoy a comfortable and refreshing stay in this peaceful haven. It's the perfect place to unwind and recharge.

The best thing about the hostel is the place, staff, location and value for money.

Some parts are not finished, for example the roof of our bathroom is still under construction. And another thing is that being a boy the place, when the large groups go down to the living room they start screaming and wake up all the rooms below. My bed had a column almost above me, the cockpit bed is almost glued to the ceiling.

Location was good and facilities looked but I did not stay at the hostel. I sprained my ankle during a hike and they could only offer a bunk bed at the top in a room on the first floor. I was coming back from the hospital and in a lot of pain and that bed was not accessible to me. The staff said they could not do anything for me, they did not attempt to ask someone to change bed with me. As I was in pain and needed to rest, I made another reservation and left the hostel after 15 minutes. They did not care I was leaving. They made a bad situation even worse to me. That was heartless

They could have at least tried to find another bed for me but they plainly said they could do nothing for me. I would expect them to try, I am sure someone would have switched with me. If it was the reverse situation I would have given up my bed and taken the top bed.

The staff, the cleanliness, the comfy beds, the quietness of the street and yet it is only a couple of streets away from the center. The kitchen was new and always clean with coffee available all day :)
