Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaWhat's not to love about this location. Located on a small island so only accessible by small taxi boat (included in stay) but wow, what a beautiful location! It was everything I expected and more! Deiverson was incredibly helpful including on the day we checked out, we asked if we could use the common areas and free kayaks/paddle boards even though we had checked out of our room and they allowed us to do so. We were gone all day, enjoying the mangroves and small islands in the area. An abundance of wildlife can be seen as you paddle around the different areas, including sea turtles, toucans and so many other birds, stingrays, crabs and much more! Incredible stay overall and only regret was staying for only 1 night (it was meant to be a pit stop to cut our drive time shorter from Rio to Sao Paulo).

United StatesThe air conditioner and ceiling fan.
The air-conditioned leaked and the ceiling fan was noisy. The pool was nice but could have been cleaner. Everything else met or exceeded my expectations. The staff was outstanding.

UruguayMore information at the reception with tours or tips will be very much appreciated. I will add an electric kettle at the room and beach towels. Breakfast is delicious (with tapioca and omellete options) but it could be improved with more fruits like apples, bananas and mango, specially for non gluten guests.
Felipe manage the hotel very well. The place is an oasis in the middle of Angra dos Reis Bay. You can stay there for relax, enjoy and drinks in the pool. Yo have a private small beach with kayak, paddle surf and beach chairs withe a charm shadow. Water is not as crystal as surrounded island but you can swim and relax anyway. Rooms are OK, they have their terrace with a bed hammock outside. Nice naure sounds, beautiful nights... I would like to mention Eliabeu as a great host, always helping giving you recommendations with the best good vibes to have a great stay there.

United KingdomOne very small thing is that many of the seafood meals in the restaurant are only available for 2 people. My wife doesn't eat seafood and it was too pricey for me to take the meal for two. There are other options but I would have liked to have tried some of the other dishes but the kitchen would not prepare a 1 person serving.
Everything was excellent; location, seclusion and the staff were great. We didn't take a tour only because we enjoyed the hotel, pool and private beach so much! There are free kayaks to explore the local mangroves and we even saw wild sea turtles which was amazing! Although you have to venture quite far into the mangroves to see them.

GermanyJust minor things: There were a lot of dead insects inside the bungalow, maybe more deep cleaning would be nice.
I highly recommend everyone this pousada! Felipe and the whole team are going above and beyond to make it as much as comfortable for you! Location is beautiful, it has an own nice little beach, breakfast is delicious and the food in the restaurant is 10/10. we can recommend the fish with banana, a local dish, it was amazing. Also greetings to the cute lady who prepared our breakfast every morning, she was the cutest! If you can, book the bungalows, we enjoyed the view and the vibe and on the top floor you can open the windows directly at your bed and enjoy the amazing view! From the pousada you can book tours to enjoy the paradise around Angra dos Reis. All in all, 10/10! Thank you to Felipe and his colleagues! :)

United States1. I could not get coffee until 8:00. There may have been a coffee maker in our room but we did not come with groceries.
We loved the staff! They went above and beyond to make our stay special. They helped us schedule two tours right from the main dock. When our tour to Paraty was going to be rainy, they set out ponchos for us to wear. The view was beautiful. The water is very shallow so great if you have kids. We used the kayaks and paddleboards withich was fun.

BelgiumWe stayed at Seco Mangue Agra for one week. We immediately felt very welcomed by everyone. They picked us up by boat and showed us around very kindly. As soon as we arrived, it felt like paradise. The place feels super relaxed, and the rooms and other areas are clean! They have kayaks and SUPs to use during the day. You can also book a boat tour or other activities. The breakfast buffet was super fresh, just like the variety of all the other food! Last but not least, the staff was super helpful 24/7 and really cared about their clients! Would recommend!

United KingdomThe property is beautiful and it really feels like you are on a private island. The pool has incredible views over the bay. The whole property feels very secluded and relaxed, and most of the time, we were the only guests in the pool or on the private beach.

Hong KongOur pillows especially and bedding had some mold on it. One of the pillow was so bad I had it replaced on arrival. (Probably moisture problem.) Food options are quite limited as the restaurant is the only source without taking the ferry transfer back to the mainland--the dock only has a really small gas station store nearby anyways.
Great breakfast! The best one out of the several accommodations we stayed in on our trip. Property reasonably well-kept with great views. Table pool, large chess table, and football table in dining lounge area. Very quiet and sparse during our stay. Responsive on WhatsApp. Internet is fast and sufficient for working remotely w/ VPN. Restaurant had decent food, and the AC in-room worked fine.

United StatesWe got a bungalow. The beds were upstairs but the bathroom was downstairs very narrow and quite a few steps so inconvenient at night. The WiFi was intermittent. Had to order two orders of the same entree. Parking for the boat pickup was hard to find.

SpainAs the only way to get to the pousada is by speed boat we always had to make sure we messaged the staff in advance so they could pick us up at the pier. This was fine but meant we couldn't come and go from the hotel as easily. After 7pm they also charged for the short boat ride. If we decided to stay for lunch/dinner the hotel restaurant had limited (and somewhat expensive) options on the menu. Our main issue however was that our room was extremely damp as it was kept shut prior to our arrival and there was no ventilation. The windows had no fly-screens so we couldn't leave them open as mosquitos would invade the room... so we had to deal with hot damp air. The room also had no air conditioning so we only had a ceiling fan to spread the hot air. The swimming pool was also not clean and the sauna was broken and not working.
The pousada is in a quiet, secluded area with access to a private beach and kayaks free to use. The area has beautiful vegetation, flowers and gorgeous views of the tropical mainland. The staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast was really delicious (especially the freshly baked cakes).
