Nice hostel with super friendly staff. The room was cozy and comfortable, located with walking distance to the center. Highly recommended!

The hostel was really nice, the room was big and the communal areas were also very spacious. You could see that the hostel has a well-thought concept. The location is also great, just a few minutes from the bus terminal, and 10-15 minutes to the historic city center. The rooms were clean, and cozy, and the beds were comfortable.

About the room I stayed; - as it was just next to the living area, it’s quite annoying when other guests stayed there up late talking loudly - the fan was so noisy even with the lowest power Kitchen was a bit dirty and lacked utensils.

It’s generally comfortable staying there. Good location which is so convenient to go to the bus station, the old town, restaurants and grocery stores

The hosts are very friendly, professional and helpful. Always ready to assist with anything and offer advice for things to do in the area. The location was pretty good too and the hostel is nice and quiet.

The facility is very outdated. Spaces are not very clean and some things were falling apart (electric cables around the room, metal frame to avoid falling from top bunk bed).

It was a little dirty beneath the beds and the Bath towel on the floor was dirty as well. Apart from that nothing was wrong.

The hostel was a great place to chill out and close to the city centre and the busstation. We liked the staff a lot, they were very sweet.

Common areas always very busy, room was next to common area so could be quite loud. No air con only a fan so could be quite hot. Quite a walk from town if you don’t like walking.

The lock system at the entrance was not working properly and felt a bit unsafe (and loud during the night, with the guests coming and going, since our room was on the ground floor). Our bathroom wasn't working properly and we had to deal with it till we checked in another room, and there were some bugs at the bathroom door. Overall the experience was nice, but the property should really pay attention to those details.

Good location! Very practical to park the car, to have a clean kitchen with filtered water and coffee in the morning, and very nice to have the option to stay in a private room.

It’s a small hostel but it’s not bad. A little too much staff and some aren’t very helpful.

Social spaces are small but very homey vibe. Good location near the bus and not too far from the center either.

Other receptionists weren’t very engaging. Besides Noelia I don’t really know who was working there. Coffee took a while to be made but I mean it was free. There was a noisy neighbour talking loudly till 11pm which was pretty annoying.

nothing, it's pretty good for what i paid for!

I was just looking to stay one night before my morning bus, so I was looking for somewhere that's affordable and comfortable, and Maresia hostel met all my needs. Only 4 beds in dorm room, the room and bed are both spacious, has a private bathroom in the room and a public bathroom outside of the room. Staff is friendly, looks like a family runs hostel, really chill.

Over the years Paraty has become popular amongst foreign travellers so an info sheet in English about the town and FAQs could help.

It's a great place to base oneself in when in Paraty. Beds were comfortable, and toilets were always clean. There should be adequate lockers though since in my room with 8 beds, there were only two lockers. This could expose travellers to possible theft from travellers looking to do mischiefs.

The reception was super quiet, very close to the historic center, 5 minutes walk, near the bus station, bakeries, bars and restaurants. I also loved the flexibility, I was able to leave my suitcases at reception and go for a walk, even before check-in. Thank you very much.

We payed 90€ for a room with a small window with the view on a wall. No ventilation, full of humility. Some elements of the bathroom were just broken. It shameful to rent this kind of room for such a price.

Awful spiral staircase, not good for luggage. Bathrooms not so clean and without toilet paper sometimes. No luggage storage. Overall a bit of a weird and cold vibe, not so welcoming.

Very helpful and friendly staff, who also posted an item I left behind to my next destination. Nice cooking/hangout area. The bed was very comfortable and the place overall was very clean. Would stay here again!

Its old and some things need replacement . there is no mirror in the room. The shower starts to smell like burned plastic when you turn the heat up. There was a big cockroach sneaking around on the bathroom floor that I needed to kill and put outside . For the high price I paid because of peak-season it was definitely not worth the price . I hope for future guests that they will pay less for the price and quality to match . This room should cost 300 maximum unless the utilities are updated.

The property is placed centrally in Paraty within walking distance from the historic city :)
