Breakfast was excellent plus the extra included afternoon tea and cake. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Great location right on the beach, easily accessible to the town and crossing but far enough to be calmed and relaxed. Modern and really clean.

Not specific to this hotel, but the generators coming on at night were loud. This was an island thing not specific to this hotel. I only mention so that visitors to Ihla Grande will know.

This small hotel is ideally located on the beach next to several great restaurants and bars without being just off the pier where the more touristy establishments are. The staff was super helpful with tours and our needs and the breakfast buffet was very complete with many options. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Breakfast hours (8 to 10). The staff was very strict about that. In the majority of hotels I’ve been breakfast starts earlier and the staff is flexible enough to accomodate personal needs. This didn’t happen in the Pousada

Didn’t like that the pool didn’t open till 10 am, and from 8-10 each morning staff were cleaning the pool when you were sat around eating breakfast. Would highly recommend that the team switched that to late in the evening rather than the morning when everyone is wanting to use the pool. Breakfast started late at 8am and there was no way to get a coffee before that time. The mirrors and TV in bedroom had lots of finger prints and the aircon was the loudest one I’ve ever had and too loud to sleep with, so made for a very hot sleep.

Great location- a little quieter out of town but a nice distance to walk to get to the main centre. The staff is really nice and the building was nice and modern.

Not sure if this appears in all the other rooms, but in our seaview room Nr. 10 we didn't have a safe and the shower system was something weired, that we have never seen before. 1) Only adjustable for tall persons and just for hot, cold and medium temperatures. 2) It was electricial controlled and connected to the sealing in the shower - a clear no go in a bathroom!! 3) The shower head was not possible to adjust in all directions, so that small persons have had problems to use it as usual.

Very friendly staff at the reception. Comfortable beds. Nice breakfast and complimentary tea, coffee and cakes in the late afternoon. Pool area in general, but unfortunately for some days with impured water.

Amazing location. Close to all the bars and restaurants. It was newly renovated, so the place was very clean. Highly recommend. I would advise paying the luggage handler as you arrive off the boat. We decided to carry our bags, but it's a 10 minute along sand. Trust me and pay the man to bring your bags.

The only two downsides were very limited toiletries in the room (soap only - which does seem standard in Brazil) which I wouldn't comment on apart from the listing makes strong reference to the room being supplied with toiletries! Secondly, the shower was an odd design we hadn't seen before, and it seemed to only go cold or scalding hot - we couldn't work out how to get it anywhere in between (but that may have just been us). Normally cold showers are fine for beach places, but given we arrived in a downpour, for once a hot shower would have been nice!

Beautiful place to stay, right on the beachfront in Abraao (15 mins walk from the main pier - though note the last 30m or so is on the sand!) in a lovely corner of the beach - where the water is still clean and clear (if it hasn't just poured with rain!). Our room was nicely decorated (beach vibes), clean and comfortable. The sea view rooms must be stunning - but even without one, every time we opened our door we got a lovely view of the sea down the corridor, which was very special. Breakfast was good and a little above average for a Brazilian pousada breakfast. We loved the complimentary teatime with tea and cake at 5pm each day - a nice touch! But in addition to the location, the other best thing was the staff. I wish I had got the name of the staff member who helped us so I could give her a shoutout - she was working the morning/breakfast shift when we were there. She spoke great English (other staff members less so) and went above and beyond to help us - simple questions about where we could get the water taxi to Lopes Mendez resulted in her booking it personally for us, even getting them to stop specifically at our hotel to pick us up, which made us feel very special! She even gave us the top tips for which part of the beach to go to, and gave us recommendations for a second beach (Palmas) on the second day, and where to eat. She was so helpful! In addition, as part of the Pousada's policy she surprised one of us with some birthday chocolates at breakfast! What a lovely, friendly place - would highly recommend.

The bathroom was old and in need of renovation

The location was great, away from the busier area. We loved the pool but a few more loungers would have been better as 3 is just not enough. The sea view room was wonderful

Nothing really! Couple of minor points are that there was no safe in the room, and the TV was very complicated to use and didn't have many channels, but these are very small problems and wouldn't stop us booking again.

Booked a couple of extra nights here as my partner and I didn't want to leave Ilha Grande! We wished we booked it for all of our stay! The receptionist who greeted us (not sure of her name, sorry!) was so, so lovely and friendly and gave us lots of useful information. The room was quite simple, but comfortable and very clean. Air-con was very good and seemed to work which we found was not always the case in other places we stayed. The location is excellent. Directly on to the beach, but a few minutes walk away from the main area of town, so a little bit quieter which suited us well. We loved having the swimming pool where you could swim and look at the lovely beach views!

There was some noise from the late night bar at the far end of the beach

The breakfast was good and the location beautiful right on the beach near some very good restaurants. Also a nice pool. The best experience however was with the staff and especially the girl from the reception was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We loved this place and if we ever return to Ilha Grande it will be to Posado do Canto. We had the front side/beach view room which I would recommend.

I loved the staff, the breakfast, and the overall aesthetic of the place. Everyone that works here is so sweet and they do everything possible to make sure your stay is comfortable. I also like that they have 24 hour reception, and if you ever have a problem they are more than happy to help. It is also absolutely beautiful here.

Hard to get to by road. We walked to the pousada on the beach with luggage. Not the fault of the pousada but made it difficult.

Great location, very clean. Most of the staff was very warm and welcoming. Great breakfast!
