Reviews of Pousada Girassol

The pousada has a very good location, walking distance to the main street. The room is in a very good condition. Breakfast is nice, with good amount of selections. Staff is very helpful. Highly recommended for a stay in Bonito.

EVERYTHING. I've traveled a lot in my life, and our stay here was by far my favorite lodging ever. The facilities are gorgeous and well maintained. The beds are comfy and the AC is strong. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was different and delicious every day. It made it hard to leave for our tours everyday

Great location, calm, great heated pool, lovely peaceful garden, tasty breakfast. The staff are very friendly and the cleaning ladies are very talented artists, leaving little sculpture surprises made out of towels - amazing :)

The complex itself was beautifully landscaped. A lovely pool area and we had a sandwich at the cafe which was also tasty. Our room was bright and spacious and a hammock and chair made sitting outside comfy. An occasional Toucan sat in the trees.

As we were there for tours, you didn’t get loads of time to sit around, our arrival day was one of those lucky days. But an angle grinder, jet washer and a welding torch were being simultaneously used next to the pool for most of the afternoon, even after a complaint. A similar thing happened in the one hour slot the next day. We retired to our room instead. We can’t speak Portuguese and that’s our problem, but generally speaking the staff didn’t want to interact with us. Not even a hello when we came in or left. One guy did though which was nice. We do try and speak the language but mainly only a bit of Spanish. If you’re there for tours, I’d also avoid using Bonitours as whilst the organisation was good and so were the tours themselves we didn’t get on well with the communication and attitude to us.

Really beautiful hotel with nice garden and swimming pool. The room was spacious and we had our own terrace with hammock. Great breakfast that was served early enough so we could start early with touring the surroundings.

We liked the tours that were booked with the hotel, however, if you have your own car I would recommend driving yourself, because we had to wait around a lot for the driver.

We loved our stay at Pousada Girassol! It's only 2 blocks away from downtown where all the little shops and restaurants are, so after a busy day at the excursions we didn't even need a car to grab a bite or walk around. The breakfast was delicious, they have fresh croissants and tapioca.

The room was very noisy, could hear the guests next door, room was not soundproof at all.

The location was excellent, just a short walk to the main road with lots of restaurant options and shopping. The breakfast was wonderful and our kids enjoyed the pool.
