Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

No bad things
We stayed there for 3 nights and it was great! Although at first it might seem the street where it is located is not supernice, it is really very well located, only 2’ walking from the centre and within the jungle. Super cozy and the service was also super nice as well as the breakfast. Very worth it for the price it has. Would definately repeat!

Breakfast was average.
We had the room on the top floor. It was spacious, clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and the location is walking distance to the town.

Amazing property in a quiet area of town, but still a 5 minutes walk to the main street. The room was spacious and clean and had fantastic views of the sea. The staff were super kind and helpful and the breakfast was AMAZING! Fresh fruits and juices, eggs and a huge variety of homemade cakes, cheese... all served in a beautiful garden, with macacos having breakfast with us every morning :)

everything was fine.
The breakfast was great, the innkeeper Savio was also a great guy. the bedroom was cozy and clean, i enjoyed it alot and so did my family.

It was a great place to stay. Really quiet and comfortable (still only a couple of minites from centre). Soacious bathroom, comfortable bed, cupboard/hangers for clothes, minifridge in the room. The guy at reception recommended and booked for us a nice full day boat trip to some paradisic islands/beaches. Overall a great experience.

All fine in general. A little bit noise sensitive, you could here the beighbours. The window from the bathroom could not be closed. Itvwas quite big, so I wasn t sure that someone could come in. What of course didn t happen.
Very nice hostel with a lovely garden just beside a little river. Quiet but in close distance to the center. Very nice and helpful owner - only native speaker - and brasilian guests. Good breakfast. I would come back.

I had wished more care in cleaning (in the drawers), but it was definitely fine overall.
I liked a lot the stay there and it was fair for the price. The room had a lovely balcony on the garden. A great breakfast was offered in a wonderful garden with a waterfall. The stuff was very nice and offered the possibility to take a shower after the check-out. They also have a discount for very good boat trips. I would rebook here if I would come again, so highly recommended!

Nice patio in the back where you can sit during breakfast, sounds of the flowing creek, limited English/Spanish, but they were as helpful as can bee, breakfast is delicious, bed is likely 140 wide so not that big (but doable)

Nice place in quiet part of Abraão. Pousada is in the tropical garden (nice!), so you will feel like in the jungle :) Also: really good breakfest!

Nicely decorated room with comfy bed, clean sheets and towels. Wifi was a little slow but likely is everywhere on the island. Shower was good with hot water. Location is good, a couple of blocks from main street but far enough away to be quiet. Breakfast is very good with a lot of choices and always being replenished. The garden setting for breakfast is very beautiful.

The bathroom could have done with a window - we thought it smelt a bit.
The location is a bit away from the main village, which was good for us. The room was spacious with a small patio just for us. Bed was comfy. The free breakfast was good, although ran out of eggs/sausages fairly early on
