Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I stayed here for one night before my flight the next day. I arrived after 10pm so they left the keys for me to check in independently. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff was incredibly friendly, making everyone feel at home.

Breakfast was quite simple, but enough to start your day. Check-out is 10 am which is quite early, having chek-out at 11 or 12 would be better. The other thing that is not in control of the hotel, but travellers should know, there is not a lot of things that you can do in June in Campeche and the neighbout area, but I still had amazing time there
The place is wonderful. It is just 1 minute walking from the amazing beach, and the price in the low season was very low. The staff is amazing, very welcoming, they help with everything you need, even can do the laundry for free. I definitely reccomend this place to stay if you travel to Florianopolis

The room is really nice with everythijg in it. The rooms are made "westers". Good quality and good warm water shower! Nice bed. Personel is really friendly! There is a hottub. Really great. Overal a 10!

By the time I was there (March/24), there was a construction in front of the property, and some workers were very noisy, but this was not detrimental, neither diminished our stay. It was just a detail that, definitely, will go away, since the building was almost finished. Don't bother with that. Thinking about it, it was a great thing... Who would like to stay sleeping in the morning in such a paradise? I wake up early every morning and enjoy the beautiful beach, even after parting overnight...:-)
Cozy and very friendly owners, as well as other guests. It's a place of good vibe, good and always smiling people, with comfy rooms (with privacy, a careful and discrete staff, regardless of what are you doing, sleeping, making love, no matter what, they will respect and will go beyond (even “breaking” the rules) to make you feel comfortable. Rooms have their styles and themes... My girlfriend and I stayed in the “Tulum” room, and it was superb. Plus for the hammocks available, all the property... The beach being just a few steps away (literally, less than a 5-minute walk) and good, decent and very friendly people.

Everything was just fine!
This place is amazing! The landlords Felipe and Aline will make everything trying to make your visit better. The Lomba beach, where the pousada is located, is one of the nicer on the whole Florianopolis. It’s for young people and had an super chill vibe. Our suite was just perfect for our vacations. AC, a little but well set up kitchen and super nice decorations. The place even had a jacuzzi and a barbacue area. Go visit Lagoa da Chica you will never regret!

Missing some kitchen equipments. To make coffee on the room.

Far from center, this resort is mainly for locals. Not many restaurant options around either. Language barrier was an issue for me as well with staff but they were very friendly. Not the owners fault, but there was an internet outage for 48hrs which was a major issue for me.
Close and walking distance to the beach, good staff, always someone around. Great communication from hosts.

Nobody to receive us, although a message was sent well in advance. No bedsheets. No glasses. No cups. No cutlery. No wifi. No proper parking place. No responsive host. No phone number to contact. Everything disorganised.
Almost nothing, although I was not expecting much. However, I liked the host and the facilities of the AirB&B just on the same property (Up Studio).
