Staying at Pousada Rubi was a very positive experience. I had a room with a sea view which made the stay even more enjoyable. The location was excellent since at the beach and still close to the village center. Personnel behavior including service was great so all in all I recommend P. Rubi and also plan to be back for another stay.

This is a beautiful hotel just in front of the beach in the best area of Ilha Grande with lots of bars and restaurants. The staff is excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. The afternoon tea served every day was a must.

Exceptional property! A lot of reviews say that already and I was somewhat cynical before arriving but Pousada Rubi is an absolute gem. It’s a boutique 9 room inn with neat and clean rooms. The 3 rooms in the front offer ocean views but the rest are great too. The breakfast is delicious. The inn is located at a short 5 min walk from the piers. Gabi, Bia, and rest of the staff are very considerate, friendly, and helpful. Highly recommend. We hope to be back! (The restaurant next door called Lua e Mar is notorious for adding extra items to the bill that weren’t ordered so please check your bill before paying.)

What a slice of heaven! Perfect location, beautiful property, friendly knowledge staff, excellent breakfast and super hot water in the shower. The hot tubs are a special treat. Perfect view! I highly recommend Pousada Rubi!

The staff at Pousada Rubi were truly exceptional. A huge thank you to Gabi, Bea, and the rest of the team for making us feel so welcomed. Their amazing guidance helped us make the most of our time on Ilha Grande. They provided excellent hiking tips, recommended beautiful beaches to visit, and suggested outstanding restaurants to enjoy. The breakfast and afternoon tea were added bonuses that we looked forward to every day. Our stay was one we won't forget.

Some of the staff was a little moody and it made us feel uncomfortable. Also, we didn’t expect to have to share the hot tub with another couple - it kinda took away from the romance, but it was still fun. The staff at the restaurant next to the hotel was not the best and charged us for items we didn’t order - be careful to always check your itemized bill before paying.

We absolutely loved Rubi. For a 3 night stay at Ilha Grande this is a really great option. It’s close to the fast boat dock so you don’t have to walk too far with your bags to get to the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and we loved how it was self serve (except eggs made to order). The coffee/tea time in the afternoon was lovely. Our bed was comfy, the TV had Netflix. It was perfect for a Babymoon, as I’m pregnant and it was a lovely place to relax. We did Kayak which we LOVED, relaxed on beach, did the hot tub ate great food and got good rest.

Everything was great. We had one mishap with one room and immediately got an upgrade to the best suite they had!

It was BEAUTIFUL. The rooms and facilities were absolutely spotless and it felt like staying at a luxury villa. We received complementary breakfast every morning as well as an afternoon tea with snacks and coffee. INCREDIBLE!

Lovely guesthouse in a nice location by the beach, but far enough away from the noise and bustle. Nice breakfast and evening team. The front desk team Gabi and Bia absolutely made our stay with their friendly welcome, excellent excursion and restaurant recommendations and all round friendliness.

Our stay at Pousada Rubi was expectional in all aspects! We loved the very clean and comfy room, the relaxation in the Jacuzzi with a beautiful view of the mountain and forest, the amazing breakfast and afternoon tea. The best was however the staff at Pousada Rubi, they were so nice and their suggestions for which things to do and what restaurants to go to really made our stay unforgettable!
