We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United StatesThe only bad thing is that the property didn't offer breakfast at the time, but they should offer in the future. We cannot wait to come back
We spent 3 days at this place and we loved it! Is walking distance to the beach and the staff is very friendly. We would like to thank the host Adriana for all the help and for making us feel at home. The property is currently going under renovation, but we didn't hear any noise. It looks like they are expanding to create a breakfast area and a pool. We cannot wait to come back to enjoy them :)

United KingdomThere’s no breakfast or kitchen facilities, but the host gave me plates, cutlery and a kettle so at least I could prep some breakfast. Electric and internet were intermittent on some days.
Nice spacious comfortable room with a huge bed. Close to the beach and 10mins to the centre of town.

United KingdomThe entrance isn’t very obvious so not all the taxi drivers are familiar with it. It’s a bit further away from the main square but less than 5 minutes from Praia da Concha. The rooms aren’t very soundproof and we had very noisy neighbours one our first night - there’s no one who works here so no one to manage guest behaviour which isn’t there fault but could be a drawback for some.
Really nice property, large and spacious and clean. Much more modern than expected so very nice for the price we paid.

United StatesThey are still improving and expanding the property and have not yet completed the kitchen and dining area, but it is in progress. In the interim a lovely breakfast of your choice is brought to the room at the time you request. It will however be nicer when you can sit outside on the patio and enjoy an open air breakfast.
The cleanliness and quality of the property is far better than other nearby properties. It is evident that this is a newer property and the beds are 5 star quality. That makes a big difference for me. The food, service, location and overall comfort exceeded my expectations. This property is still an undiscovered gem. I highly recommend staying for a while. I will definitely be going back.

The Pousada is new and everything is clean and tidy. Breakfast was served to the room, even considering my vegan diet. The internet was great, as I had to work a bit and do some video calls. The bed is large and very comfortable. The hosts are super friendly, warm and helpful with anything. I would definitely come back to this Pousada.

IrelandI rarely write reviews that are not positive but I was really disappointed with the stay given the very high price I had to pay in that week I stayed. Overcharging: The accommodation was double the price of nearby options with better amenities, privacy, and full kitchens. This was not justified given the building was incomplete. Privacy Concerns: A staff member entered the room at least daily without knocking, using a key as if it were their own space. Owner’s Persistent Invitations: Despite being told I get up early to surf, the owner repeatedly asked me to go out for drinks or dinner, which made me feel uncomfortable. Even if initially meant in a friendly way, reaching out daily felt excessive. Missing Amenities: No bedside tables or reading lamps were provided, contrary to what was shown in pictures. The apartment was not decorated and did not feel warm. Delayed Check-In: Check-in was delayed due to laundry issues, and the provided sheets didn’t fit the bed properly. No Breakfast or Essentials: The room’s fridge was empty and lacked basic utensils, a coffee maker, or a kettle. Soap and toiletries were not replenished. Towels Misused: Towels used to clean a water leak were hung back in the bathroom instead of being replaced. Security Concerns: Windows couldn’t be locked, and there were no other security measures. Noise Issues: Noise from neighboring rooms and construction in one of the rooms during the first two days disrupted the stay. Overall Discomfort: The frequent interruptions, lack of privacy, and numerous issues made the stay unpleasant.
The property initially seemed nice at first glance. New building and quite clean and centrally located walking distance to the main street and good online reviews. The owners were responsive and attempted to address some of the issues.
