We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was very quaint and had a warm feel with a nice balcony to hang out on. The staff at the from desk on all shifts were fantastic. Lives using the pool in the evening. The breakfast was full of local dishes which I really appreciated. This place is a little Oasis.

United StatesIt wasn’t clear at the time of booking that we were going to be in an annex. Not a huge deal (just a few steps down the alley), but what was unacceptable was that in the alley there were several dogs that barked incessantly day and night. Not ideal when you have kids with you. Also, in front of the hotel there was a drugged man passed out for most of the day - also not a great ambiance for a family. This time, I had 3 rooms as I came with family, and our 3-day stay was close to 10 thousand reais. That was okay, and I agreed to it. However, when you go to check out, they hit you up with 300 reais per room (so another thousand for me), saying it is “for the staff”. They pressure you to pay, although say it’s not obligatory, so it’s incredibly awkward. I think that’s just extremely distasteful. You also have to consider that they don’t have parking, so that’s an additional cost. I don’t plan on returning; there are so many choices in Praia do Forte, this place is a pass for me.
The breakfast was nice and the staff were also courteous. The room was clean, relatively spacious, and a/c, hot water, ceiling fan were all working well.

SloveniaThey tried to charge an extra 10% of "service fee" over the fee we had already paid through booking. The room does not have a glass window but a wooden one, so it was either open or there wasnt much light in the room. There is also zero sound insulation and it was quite loud from the street (the window panels are always partially open).
Breakfast was good with option to order fresh food from the kitchen. The pool is great, and the location is also good, close to a few good restaurants and only a few minutes walk from the beach.
