Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenIf you are interested in nature, tranquility and the Atlantic Forest, this is a wonderful place to visit. The lodge consists of a dozen or so chalets around a small lake in the middle of the forest. The accommodation is rustic but comfortable. As it happened, we spent almost all our time out in the forest or watching the amazing array of colourful birds on the feeding table outside the restaurant and reception building. Stays are full board, with breakfast at 8am, lunch at 2pm, afternoon tea at 5pm and dinner at 8pm. A bell rings to remind you, in case you have lost track of time observing nature from the lodge's bird hide or purpose-built viewing tower high in the forest canopy. The food was truly excellent. All home cooked and including fresh salads and vegetables from the garden – and all delicious. The staff, led by Jeffrey, were wonderful. Jeffrey himself is knowledgeable about the local nature, including birds, so don't hesitate to ask him for tips. Two older family members joined us for the stay and also found the facilities comfortable. We could not have asked for more. Obrigado.

BrazilChalets could use some maintenance, though appreciate that the hotel is within an environmentally protected area that presents some challenges. Food was decent, though could be improved for the price paid.
Staff, Location, Internet, Common Areas, Guided Trails / Boat Tour were the highlights!

Germany+ Most special location in the atlantic rain forest, all quiet with the sounds of animals surrounding you + If you don't have your own car, the best method of going there is the transfer organized by the hotel + The stay includes one hike through the rainforest per day. The hikes are really great, you get rubbber boots and will cross rivers and see lots of plants and waterfalls + Beautiful premises with a lake and swimming pool + Very friendly staff + GREAT food (3 meals per day plus afternoon tea)

BelgiumNothing of significance.
This review is based on an assessment, taking price/quality into account. The lodge is located near an unpaved road (doable with a normal car) within the Atlantic forest, bordering a large private reserve (that is accessible). Breakfast, lunch and diner are all excellent, freshly prepared (caipirinha are among the best cocktails I ever tasted). The lodge produces home made kombucha at a very reasonable price. Lodging is in spacious and clean cabins with a sufficient number of power access to charge several devices. Staff is overall very friendly and helpful (all in Portuguese but Google translate makes it easy to communicate for foreigners). The lodge contains a clean swimming pool, a large pond and a (short) trail. For nature photography, there are plenty of opportunities (mainly birds, amphibians, reptiles), just outside the lodge are trails into the forest. All in all, we found this a no brainer if you want to be immerged in the Atlantic forest at a very reasonable price. One minor thing: the hours for the meals are pretty late (8, 14 and 20h), especially if you are birding, it would be nice to have eg coffee and something to snack available earlier (but, again, very minor issue). Overall an outstanding experience, highly recommended.

United KingdomThe room room was smelly we think it might have been the amount of insect repellent you had to apply, the bed was uncomfortable and old , the sheets need not fit and were poor quality, the curtains were useless, there needs to be more general maintenance. It is only a 2 star
