How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It would be good to always have a hose at the entrance to clean kite gear. Rooms could have more hangers. And back rooms could have more space for hanging wet gear.

As for hangers, we provide a standard amount in the rooms, but we'll add more upon request, depending on each guest's needs. Verified reviewWe had an amazing stay! From the moment we arrived Laslo and the rest of the team were super attentive and really cared about our group having the best possible time. They helped us organise everything we wanted and constantly went out of their way to help us. The rooms were lovely and very spacious and were cleaned everyday. The breakfast was excellent and the kite-spot was our favourite out of all the spots in Brazil, flat water and not busy. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Owner, caretaker and reception person put a lot of effort in making us feel at home. However, there were some other people (kiteschool staff? Not guests) hanging around who seemed to be less welcoming/hospitable. And the pool needed a thorough clean.

“I won't go back and I don't recommend it. There is no room service which is the basics, garbage collection, changing of towels..., we spent 3 nights there and they never changed the towels, on the last night we arrived from the beach I went to ask for towels they said they would leave them, we waited 40 minutes and they never took them, I took them shower and went there to ask again and once again they said to wait, that's when I said I would wait there for the towels. The internet is very weak, and the noise from parties doesn't let you sleep. Yesterday I ordered a coffee in the afternoon, no one said anything that there was a charge for the coffee, when I went to check out they charged for the coffee, I've never seen that before. It's very expensive for poor service.”

We highly value the privacy of our guests, and it was communicated to you (and we have a camera recording that the message was relayed) that if you wanted room cleaning, you should leave your key at the reception. Our cleaning staff's shift goes until 2:30 pm, and after that, we do not perform room cleaning, which is common in any lodging establishment. Regarding the internet, we have multiple connections in place to enhance our guests' experience, including Starlink, which offers the fastest internet speed in the region. You visited our bar and requested an Italian Espresso, and if you had checked our menu, you would have seen that there is a charge for it. Your treatment of our staff member, who was simply doing her job by closing your bill, was very unpleasant. This was our first ever rating of 1 (coincidentally, you made two separate reservations and combined two reviews, evaluating a room and amenities from a room in which you didn't even stay). Verified reviewAmazing place, the food was the best in the town (breakfast everyday was epic and then the pizza also), location right on the kite spot, staff all super friendly, good place to work (although not aaalways reliable wifi but I made it work), even better place to relax and wait for high tide.
Not many people, but it was September so not high season yet.
