Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe location was perfect, we were close to many restaurants and right around the corner from the jeep/boat tour that took us to Castelhanos. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and clean, it was a comfortable stay. Breakfast was also very enjoyable, we sat next to the water every morning and the food choices were great.

Fantastic staff, perfect location, breakfast, every tiny detail of the property, pools - absolute 10/10! The first time in my life I also booked a tour at the reception and we had the best guide ever, it was outstanding!

CanadaVila das Velas is beautiful property. It was spotless and staff were very friendly. Our room was in the main building and the balcony was so lush and green. We sat out there quite a bit and found it very peaceful. We didn’t have the best weather when there so we loved the 3 pools while raining. the bar staff were very friendly, somehow they made the best caipirinhas I’ve had throughout Brazil and Portugal! The hotel went above and beyond for New Year’s Eve when they surprised us with a huge complimentary gift basket with sparkling wine, champagne glasses and so many snacks. It was such an unexpected gesture.
