Nothing! Superb throughout!

After a bus journey from Rio that arrived after 10pm, over 2 hours late due to traffic, the suite was nice and relaxing. Very spacious set amongst nice grounds. I saw a beautiful red bird while enjoying a lavish breakfast. Caio on reception is a great English speaking Brazilian and was super helpful. I really appreciate the considerable time and effort Caio spent assisting me.

only one plug that switches off when you remove the key card. Wish I had brought a 4 way but had a power bank with multiple connection's so as long as you charge everything up at night its all good. the plug socket is 6 feet off the ground so needed to stack 2 tables but don't let this stop you booking its worth the small inconvenience

This is a rustic property in a small fishing village but has been upgraded with modern features. great courtyard to eat drink and relax. spacious room with good bathroom instant hot water great Wi-Fi really quiet at night. the staff and location are brilliant 15 minutes max from everywhere. 100% safe

There was a lot of noise one Saturday night from the property next door that lasted until 2am. Nothing that the hotel can do about it but just be aware it's a possibility.

The grounds are really lovely. If you sit at the table just outside, next to the wooden barrier, you can see monkeys while you're eating breakfast. The indoor pool is small but well heated. The rooms themselves are a little small and not really sealed (so you might get a few random bugs - we had a gecko one night!). The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is about a 15 min walk to the old town along the river.

The rooms could be better maintained. Seems the hotel puts more effort on the maintenance of the outdoor areas and not so much on the rooms.

The bathroom could use a renovation, and a couple of time the lights started going on and off as power was cut off and the generator was kicking in. Also we tried to use the indoor pool once and the amount of chemicals was completely off, it was difficult to breath and our bathing suits came out of the water discoloured. The staff handled our complain gracefully tho.

Very good location, only a short stroll from the historical centre and the beach but still very quiet. The staff is very nice and helpful. The place itself is beautiful and the pools are a big plus.

As we went in June it was bit cold at night and no heating.

Lovely location, easy walk to all places in the centre of the town. Individual 2 storey buildings with 4 apts. Set in very picturesque grounds. Lots of facilties, rather like a small resort. Pool, games, lovely sitting areas. Excellent breakfast with good quality and variety of choice. Very helpful friendly staff. Rooms quite spacious though interiors rather outdated. No extras provided. Car parking spaces. Very safe to walk everywhere even late at night in the town. Great overall experience.

The pousada needs a little bit of refurbishment work, particularly in the fitness room and in the indoor pool.

Walking distance from the historical centre of Paraty but in a very quiet area. Typical pousada feel, lots of colours, greenery, and a quiet place. The rooms are confortable, and the little private patio is very nice. Nice breakfast.

When we checked out they added 10% to the room charge. This was the normal service charge that is optional to pay in Brazil. We were however surprised because no other place that we have stayed in has applied service charge on top of room rates so we asked them to remove it. They took it away without protest so I guess it was ok, but it left us feeling a bit bad because we were not unhappy with the service, we just didn’t expect to pay 10% on top of room rates.

Nice hotel area with lovely gardens and beautiful houses for the guest rooms. Two great pools - out in the sun and inside a pool house. Calm area, but in short walking distance from village center where there are restaurants, pubs, shops, sights and all we wanted to do and see. Also, Paraty feels - and is - a lot safer than many other places in Brazil.

Very enjoyable common area, with 2 pools (inside and outside), games, fitness room. The room is confortable, with a small private terrasse. Good location in Parati.

It was a lot of mosquitos inside the rooms. There are windows which just does not close. One of us got dangue after the stay, it is a tropical fewer transmitted by mosquitos.

It is good structure. A lot of things to do within a resort.

Breakfast was just ok and could easily be better with higher quality and/or more skillful preparation. The rooms could use an upgrade due to wear and tear - I pulled off the doorhandle first time I closed the bathroom. Very strict about bringing food/drinks to your room, even threatening with a fee (according to the room info) if you put your own drinks in the minifridge. If you are going on a boat trip, the beach or any other trip outside the pousada it's nice to be able to buy in advance. In all fairness we never got a fee but it comes off a little unfriendly. Beds are rock hard - ok for me, but the kids didn't like it.

Very nice pool and outdoors area. Fun event at new years eve. Pretty calm area but still close to the historic center - 10-15 min walk. Big plus for drying rack and hammock in your private patio/garden.

Our legs have been eaten by bedbugs (see photos, a hundred very itchy bites, in lines, as bedbugs do). We ran away. The management refused to do anything, saying we should have used repellent, which we did, when outside the room. We’ll never set foot in this establishment again.

The shower didn’t have enough water to get clean. Also at departure, they tried to scam us for money. They add 10% on your bill, that you can choose to pay. But it’s all in Portuguese, so if you don’t understand Portuguese, you will be fooled to pay more.

Accommodation is quite basic. Bathrooms are worn down, less than basic. Warm shower water failed 3 days in a row despite asking for repairs. You get the impression that management does not invest in maintenance or keeping things up.

Location is prime, as it is close to the traditional center. The inside Hotel area is beautiful.
