How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBungalow is nice, kite spot at the end of the road and the homemade breakfast is very good !
A little bit noisy as the road is passing just behind the bungalows and the pool could be a bit arranged with plants to separate from the bungalows and lounge chairs to chill nearby maybe !

Verified reviewIt is quiet, except for resonating air conditioning.
When we arrived at the Pousada we felt a bit of tension in the air, but were greeted nicely. We were shown our cabana and instructed to turn everything off in case we went out. So far so good. Apparently you need to have some form of transport when staying here as you can only walk to town at low tide. The owners were kind enough to bring us to town in their car for a fee, as we arrived without one. As there are no restaurants, shops or bars within walking distance we had to think ahead about food, which worked out fine. The next morning we decided to stay in our cabana for a few hours to do some work after breakfast. As we were going to return to our cabana in about 20 minutes we left the air conditioning on. We immediately got scolded for our actions. Later when we were in town after walking over the beach we texted the owners if there was a possibility to have food delivered that night and if they knew of a restaurant that would do so. They said no restaurant would deliver, but if we found one, we could only order food. Drinks had to be bought at the poudasa. At this point we started to feel we were staying at a school camp with strictly enforced rules. The next morning I went to check out and very calmly and respectfully filed a complaint. One of the owners listened to it and disagreed, which was well within his rights. A little discussion started in which we both told our point of view. When I elaborated on the situation, still in a calm and civilised manner, the owner snapped. By this time his wife, who does speak English, joined the conversation. The man banged his phone on the table and got up. His wife jumped in between us as his demeanour looked aggressive. I asked him why we could not have a normal discussion about my complaint. He responded by calling me names which I can not repeat on this platform. But let's just say they included my mother, who passed away not too long ago, and parts on the male anatomy.

Verified reviewThe grounds. Clean with ample green space, meticulously maintained. The hosts were vey welcoming. They spoke different languages were very accommodating. The bungalows were beautifully chiseled out heavy dark wood, the bathroom had hot water, still a rarity in Brazil! There shelves and hangers.
The bunglows were somewhat austere. The were bare with no comfort touches. The fridge was too small. Breakfast was too simple, no frills, no substance. At this pricepoint, there should be more variety.

Verified reviewWe loved it ! Facilities are extremely beautiful, with comfortable wooden bungalows and a very nice garden & swimming pool. Really beautiful place. Hosts are lovely - Alba & Joaquin will do everything they can to make your stay comfortable & are very friendly ! Breakfast is really good !! Finally, if you come to kite, this is a great place. You are 5’ walk from a quiet spot on the lagune. You are not in the super crowded places (Hura beach, Bate Vento) so you have the spot to yourself, truly amazing ! Overall - I highly recommend this wonderful place.

Verified reviewAlba & Joaquin are very lovely and supportive hosts, always making sure you have everything you need. The bungalows are super spacious, clean, provide a much appreciated hot shower and are equipped with a desk and even a balcony with two hammocks. There is nothing negative to say - you need a car to get to the center of Ilha do Guajiru but that's also a good thing because you don't have the noise and the music in the evening.
Thank you so much!!! Come back soon!! Thimothea , Valeria and all our bunch will be always thankfull with you!! We hope to ser you soon!!

Verified reviewWe stayed at Wind Rose for 6 nights and it was amazing. From the beginning on very helpful, helped us to organize the transport to get there, very warm welcome. Only a five minute walk to the lagoon. Due to the amazing location of the pousada we were able to kite twice a day, not depending on the tide. The breakfast was delicious and with a pre booking in the morning we were able to have diner in the pousada! When we had a problem with one kite they offered imidiate help and drove us to the center, helped to find a solution. We can warmly recommend this beautiful pousada. We loved our little bungalow, the quietness and basically just everything!

Verified reviewThe owners are very hospitable and helpful. The place is surrounded by a beautiful nature reserve on the front site and palmtrees in all other directions. Spending the afternoon in the pool with a drink in complete tranquility was great for me. I ve never been so long in a pool I think. Its a very mindfull place. I highly recommend going here :)
Can't think of anything. Its s bit far from the centre maybe. But the owners provided a great taxi service. So this wasnt a problem at all.

Verified reviewOur stay at pousada Wind Rosa was amazing. Location is lovely, only few steps away from the beach and a kite area (5 minutes drive from main kite area) The garden is so well kept and the pool so clean. The brand new chalets are confortable, cosy, clean and very well decorated. Each chalet has 2 Hammock in balcony, and board rack on the side. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The hosts Alba and Joaquim, are super nice , friendly and very helpful. They make you feel at home by remembering how you like your eggs in morning🤗 or what your favorite fruits are!) you also can pre-order the dinner, if you wanna stay in the pousada! The breakfast was decent, tasty and typical with several healthy options (fresh fruits, and home made cake😊) It was an very good experience! I recommend!

Verified reviewI honestly can not say enough about the hosts, Alba and Joaquin, they were both absolutely delightful. They paid close attention to my needs and they were helpful in so many ways. They are very committed to their posada and it shows. The property is new, wonderfully designed and spacious. The grounds are lush, well maintained and even though I did not swim in the pool, it was nice to look at, especially in the evening. The bungalow itself is charming and comfortable. It is constructed completely from hardwood and equipped with all the modern amenities you would hope for. Each bungalow is spaced nicely away from the others so you have a nice sense of privacy. I’m a kiteboarder so location for me was very good, on the western side of the lagoon where it is wide and deep. I believe the walk from the posada to the lagoon was only 4-5 minutes and walking to Hura Beach Club was about 12-15 minutes by way of the beach. My time at Wind Rose was both relaxing and enjoyable, I will stay again when visiting the area.
