This is a wonderful hostel centrally located in Praia do Forte recognized by Hostelling International that has a variety of accommodation options. I spent 3 weeks as a solo senior (65 yrs old ) traveller here in a room with a private bathroom. My room was spacious and clean with a smart TV, efficient air conditioning, ceiling fan, comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. The bathroom had great water pressure and the shower had plenty of hot water. The included breakfast buffet had a nice variety of delicious food including vegetarian options. The staff at the hostel were all courteous, accommodating, professional and many spoke excellent English including the very friendly owner/manager Paulo. The wifi connection here was excellent. The hostel has bicycles available to rent. Residents of the hostel get huge discounts on many attractions and businesses in the Praia do Forte vicinity. There was a terrific self service laundry (Lavo) just steps away. This is a fantastic place to stay for solo budget travellers like myself, couples or families with children. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this quiet well managed hostel and would definitely return when visiting Praia do Forte.

For what we expected and paid, there was nothing to dislike in this property. If you want a pool or beachside view, in this village you will need to select a way pricier place. Only thing to consider was that the Wi-Fi in the room had poor connection, but I only used mobile internet that is plenty in the place.

For the value, breakfast was very good! Room was good as well, clean, good bed, air conditioning and could house up to 4 people easily. Location was good as well, right beside main village street and 6 min walk to the beach.

For the dorms I would suggest one upgrade in the beds - there are modern dorms with convenient individual beds that are more comfortable. If I can remember the dorms looks the same as maybe 7 years ago.

This is my second or maybe third time in this lovely hostel - I have booked the private room and also dorms. I love the friendly atmosphere and also the breakfast. Very informative - not so close to the beach but it is maybe 15 minutes walk and it is close to travel agencies, banks, nightlife that it is nice for a stay in Praia do Forte

It was a bank holiday and I the price for two nights were twice more expensive than in a normal day. I stayed in a room that felt like a hostel room with bunk beds and a double bed.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Location was very good near the main attractions. The breakfast was really nice. On my last day, kids from the community came with drums to play, it was beautiful.

I enjoyed very much my stay in this hostel! The staff was very nice, they allowed me to let my stuff after checkout for free in a locker and even take a shower after the beach. The hostel itself is light full, clean, practical! The case/locker in the room is a must. The location is great, next to the main avenues, not so far from the beaches and very close to the bus station! I enjoyed the breakfast and the common areas.
