Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BrazilNot their fault but this time I book a small room that was on the 3rd floor, for this reason I was near the patio and I could hear all the AC motors and people talking outside. Again, this is not their fault as I chose the room.
Everything was just like I was expecting as always. The wifi was working properly, the staff was polite and helpful, the hotel was clean and smelled good. I always stay there and will always recommend people to stay there too if they're looking for efficient cost benefit with good location.

MalaysiaSimple breakfast. Free coffee and drinking water are provided at the lobby. Near to the tourist information center and free walking tour meeting point. Walking distance to the old town. Front desk staff don’t speak English, but they are friendly enough try to help. No shampoo and body wash provided. Shower room has no door so water was just flashed out from the shower room.

MexicoThe rooms are a bit cramped, and the dining area is quite small. It can be a bit challenging to move around when it’s full.
The location is great if you’re planning to visit the most iconic places in São Paulo. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help.

BrazilThey could offer more amenities in the bathroom - shower mats, shampoo. The items in the fridge were very pricy. Elevators are a bit slow and one of them was broken during my stay.
Excellent location near subway station, very good price for what is offered (breakfast included) and the room we stayed was amazing. There was a living room, 4 single beds and a balcany where you could literally feel in the very heart of São Paulo (among buildings, basically). The shower had excellent water pressure. Breakfast options were simple, but very satisfying.

PolandThe only problem was that the staff could not speak English and it was hard to communicate. The vicinity of the hotel was not perfectly clean and it would not make you feel comforatable at night to go into some of the narrower back streets.
A very comfortable, spacious and clean apartment in the vicinity of the city center. Delicious breakfast with everything you need. Friendly and helpful staff :)

BrazilThe check in hall was gorgeous, an absolute architectural beauty. The staff was sweet and friendly, we had an issue with our reservation (a slight mismatch with another guest of the same name) but it was resolved with ease and we even got an upgrade to the 8th floor! The cost was also very much friendly, and the neighborhood was not as ‘scary’ as I imagined based on the reviews I read (only during the day, we did not risk going out at night although). The breakfast was just as described: not too many options but what is served is simple and delicious. Free water and coffee was a bonus! Would definitely come back.

RomaniaInternet is rather slow and doesn’t work well in all rooms and coffee option could be improved. i prefered to quite on coffee for the days I stayed there, instead of drinking the machine espresso
The apartament was big and offered much privacy when traveling with friends. The breakfast was good. The area, although in the center, felt rather safe, but definitely it is not recommended to walk around after dark.

CanadaThe room was very cold and uncomfortable to sleep as the temperature dropped in the nights. The was no heating in the room. The bathroom sink was clogged and there was mold on the grout on bathroom wall and floor. The blankets provided did not provided adequate warmth as there were not for the winter months. The first night I arrived I was not able to sleep as the mattress was uncomfortable and the bed extremely small. The mattress was as flat as a pancake and hard. Only one worn out pillow was provided and the blankets provided were more appropriate for the summer months. I had to bundle four blankets together to get some warmth. There was a constant draft of cold air coming through the old windows which made the room extremely cold and uncomfortable to sleep. I complained and was given another room the following day with a batter mattress and pillows. I was also given additional blankets. However the new room was still very cold and unclean. The location is very central but a bit unsafe at nights due to several homeless people living along the side walks. Just outside the hotel entrance reeked of urine.
The breakfast was adequate and freshly prepared. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful. Most of the front desk staff were able to converse comfortably in English.
