Great rooms - great view - great restaurant. make sure to get a a beef or ham omelet for breakfast. Great wine list. We don't speak much Portuguese, but the staff were terrific. and its a great deal as an American.

Only minor things. Did not like that you had to QR code for the restaurant menu but everywhere is like that in Brazil. Beer list could use some more Brazilian beer options. I expected stronger coffee - especially given my experience elsewhere in Brazil.

We had such a great experience at Varandas Beach Hotel that we initially booked 3 nights and ended up extending our stay for another 3 — we simply didn’t want to leave! The atmosphere here is amazing, especially on weekdays when there are fewer guests. It almost feels like a cozy boutique hotel — quiet, intimate, and incredibly relaxing. The staff are warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. The breakfast was delicious every day, and the overall quality of the food in the restaurant was excellent. There’s a great variety of dishes, everything we tried was fresh and tasty, and the prices are very reasonable for lunch or dinner. One unique and pleasant surprise was the swimming pool filled with seawater — something we don’t often see, and it added a special touch to the experience. We also appreciated the themed evenings — for example, one night they set up a projector and played movies for kids. It made the place feel even more family-friendly and thoughtful. There are plenty of activities and entertainment options for both kids and adults. But the true highlight is the beach! It’s wide, clean, with soft sand and incredibly clear water. You can even rent little quads to ride along the beach. During low tide, natural pools form with warm, calm water – perfect for little children to splash around safely. Honestly, this has been the best beach we’ve seen in the last two weeks of traveling. It’s a perfect spot for families or anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, peaceful setting. We would definitely love to return one day!

The hotel is very cozy and tastefully decorated with regional handicrafts and nice outdoor sofas, very reminiscent of southern Thailand.

The only bad thing was the painted over window in our room that blocked the spectacular sea view (which we could only see if we opened the balcony door), and the lack of mosquito screening on the balcony door.

The beach is very nice and the hotel environment is beautiful. Many activities can be organized through the hotel. Nice staff. The food in the restaurant is varied and good (some dishes are delicious and others a bit less so). The rooms are big and the balconies as well. Good massage.

Always some background music, which can be annoying if you just want peace and quiet. Some problems with the shower that was leaking. Breakfast is ok but could be better. If you organize a shuttle service, make sure to ask for a big enough car, especially if you have several suitcases.

The hotel is situated perfectly at the beach and has nice and spacious installations and rooms. The sea view from the balcony is stunning! Mostly friendly staff and good food quality, including a big choice of breakfast.

There were noisy reparations going on but the management only informed about this after the reservation, so I could not cancel any more without paying the whole price, this is not fair. The staff does not speak English, only Portuguese. I speak a bit Portuguese but this could be a problem for people not speaking it. The food of the dinner is good but very expensive, you are trapped in a way, because there are no restaurants around open in the evening. The massage is good but the second time I had no watch with me and just saw later that the massage woman stopped after 45 minutes and I had to pay for an entire hour. The bed mattress was very hard.
