The only thing I would critique Vila Coqueiros on is the restaurant capabilities. They ran out of things quickly and being candid the quality of the food for lunch and dinner could be better. The breakfast is AMAZING and never fails to impress which is why when lunch rolls around, one expects the same level but it's just not there. If they had a dedicated chef who made some local dishes with local "tempero" they would kill it. Having said that, 7 mins down the road are great restaurants in downtown Cumbuco so maybe it's a win win. Do Breakfast at Vila Coqueiros and go eat in town for dinner.

I love Vila Coqueiros for its location and just overall peaceful vibe. It's a great place for family or to take a loved one. Or to simply hang out with friends.

It’s not property fault but the city is not prepared for tourism. There was a blackout that happened in the middle of the night(~2am) we checked out around 10am and it there’s no electricity in the city.

impecable breakfast, amazing staff and ambience. We chose a bedroom with ocean view but when we arrived, we noticed the balcony door was not locking. promptly, the staff upgraded us to the best room in the hotel, also with an ocean view, but much larger and with an amazing hot tub. It's my second time staying at Villa Coqueiros and I'd definitely go back.

Right on the beach! Friendly staff. We stayed in the luxury room one and it was amazing. It had a tub on the deck and a beautiful room of the beach! Highly recommend. We kited right outside our front door.

There are three dutch men who are apparently friends with the owner and they feel like they own the place. They are rude to the staff and obnoxious overall. Try to make sure you go to Vila Coqueiros when the "three musketeers" are not there. Trust me, the beach / pool area will be much more pleasant and you won't have to see one of them just get naked in front of you because he's too lazy to actually change in the bathroom which is 10 meters away.

The staff and Deirdre were amazing. Breakfast was fantastic. Overall a great place to relax and of course if you are into Kite Surfing, this is the location to be. We went to relax and enjoy the beach and it did not disappoint.

The hotel is located right at the beach on a quiet location. It has a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks throughout the day, which is super convenient and fair priced. The staff is super friendly, always going the extra mile to ensure you're having a great time at the hotel. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. I would definitely return and/or recommend Vila Coqueiros to friends and family.

Breakfasts are delicious: Good coffee, followed by a tableful of assorted pastries and a refrigerated case full of fresh fruits and juices. This is followed by an adjacent cooking area for made-to-order eggs or omelets and our new favorite: sweet or savory tapioca wraps. Highly recommend ordering at least one wrap with sautéed banana and Nutella. Staff are friendly, helpful and gently outgoing to all the guests. This Cumbuco beach location provides ample opportunities to watch the Kite Surfers going back and forth and jumping over the rolling waves. Kite Surfing Instruction is available for those so inclined. The hotel provides helpful information to access the local Dune Buggy rides. These rides can be customized to accommodate various levels of thrill. Hold on tight and wear your cap backwards to prevent it from falling off.

Reception staff not particularly nice or attentive. We didn't have running water our last day, no-one gave us an explanation why. When the water finally came, it was brown!! They gave us a discount for the inconvenience, but would have expected a little more enthusiasm to helps us solve the problem. Left the hotel without being able to take a shower.

Excellent location, very nice complex, beachfront, nice rooms. Food good, beach and restaurant staff very kind and attentive.
