Overcrowded, bad service, the food is average, long waiting time to get a table for breakfast and then to be served, shortage of sun beds, really overpriced!

Our room had to be changed because lights did not work, phone did not work, and toilet and sink had cracks and chair upholstery had a large rip. These issues were shocking for a resort that is being marketed as high end and luxury . Perhaps it used to be in the past but looks like the rooms are not examined before giving it out to guests . Took lots of time to get room Changed .

Staff is not focused on customer service. Staff should be more warm , friendly and welcoming and better trained to handle issues . Customer service needs to be improved

The floor we were on smelled strongly of mildew (from people coming in from the surrounding pools and ocean, all day). Suggestion to maintenance staff - use scented cleaning fluid in your rug/vacuum cleaners. One of strongest senses tied to memory that people have is their sense of smell. So, when people finish their vacations, they want to recall the wonderful smells from the surrounding flora (palm trees, tropical flowers and ocean). Also, even though the air conditioning was operational, the room temperature was fixed at 65 degrees (F). It didn't seem like the room ever got to this comfortable temperature (likely due to the bright sun shining into the room).

The location of the hotel is fabulous, and all the staff were exceedingly cheerful and helpful...except (understandably) towards a few of the guests that seemed to think the hotel should be their exclusive private oasis (read a few "opinionated" New Yorkers).

    Nice Resort, but Really Expensive

Pool towels are generally left on the chairs at the Cove pool. People aren't encouraged to place their towels in the bin when leaving the pool area, so chairs are hard to come by (all look occupied). I wish they encouraged people to remove their towels when they leave the pool area. There is so much to do at Atlantis, most people aren't at the pool all day long. Food is REALLY expensive and trying to get a table for dinner is difficult. Some restaurants take walk-ins, but they don't publish that anywhere. We ate most of our meals at the less expensive/casual restaurants, b/c reservations were sparse and not at ideal times. The billing system is unnecessarily confusing. We had a $250 resort credit. Instead of the final bill showing a -$250 credit and all the charges to the room in full, the $250 reduces your meal charges excluding tax & tip up to the $250, so what shows on your bill is just a note about the $250 and the tax & tip from the meal the $250 was applied to; you have to request another statement to show how the $250 was applied; otherwise, it's hard to see that you actually got the $250 credit. Also, we had gift certificates. If you have them, go to the front desk a day or two prior to checkout to get them applied. The front desk really struggled to get them applied, and it was super time consuming. It seems like the gift cards are handled by a 3rd party. It should be as simple as scanning the gc code by the front desk. The exterior of the buildings needs to be painted. We were on the 5th floor & had a concrete wall on our balcony instead of a plexiglass wall or standard railings, so you had to stand up and lean against the wall to see anything. It felt old & dated & something you'd find at a cheaper hotel. 50% of the elevators in the Cove weren't running. Elevators were packed and you had to wait a long time for an elevator during the busy weekend time.

Beautiful pool. Beautiful beach with clear blue water. Safe. Beds were super comfortable, Inside of the hotel was really pretty. Lots of good food at good restaurants. Service/staff was super nice and helpful.

If you stay at the Cove with kids you cannot use the nicest pool as it’s only for adults. Hence no need to pay extra for the better hotel, where the rooms are old anyway. Also we have a crawling toddler and the room had stairs so we asked for a barrier or something and they didnt help us at all. No kettle to make boiled water for baby food, we had to pay $4 every time, for boiled water! At the Cove pool there are no umbrellas anywhere, so where am I able to sit in the shade with my baby? That’s terrible. Also no umbrellas by the beach, also terrible. Nobody cleans the towels and the beach looks very messy. the sunbeds are all dirty with sand and other stuff and old towels. Plastic stuff on the beach and towels in the water, nobody walks down the beach to clean. The waiters have no hats and have to cover with towels when its rains, that’s not a good treatment. The gym is too small for all these hotels. In general, everybody can use all the facilities, so it makes no sense to pay more for the Cove. Also, they even let cruise ship people buy day passes, so even more people are there. No nice place to have a lunch by the beach in a nice atmosphere. Had do not disturb sign and they rang anyway, woke the baby… barely an excuse or anything.

The property has a lot to offer, different pools, the beach would be nice if serviced better…close to the airport and some friendly staff. Also good restaurants.

We booked a room with access to the Lapis lounge, but be aware that the TVs are blaring at a volume that makes converstations impossible. All guests always tried to gather on the tiny balcony to escape the noise. So the Cove is a good choice, but don‘t go for the club lounge, not worth it.

less crowded here than the Royal, so good choice if you want the waterpark but not the hustle and bustle 24/7

That none of the food/drinks were included as a part of the stay. The cost to stay is a little high and to not have anything included is not somewhere I would return or refer family and friends to visit.

Everything was great. I experienced a hiccup @ breakfast. The only thing that would sway my decision & referral back to the property is that guest have to pay extremely high cost to eat & drink. The cost of the stay should include some of the food/drinks.

Be mindful that THE PRICE YOU SEE ONLINE IS NOT THE TOTAL PRICE! (We knew this in advance, this just an FYI). The 15% AUTOMATIC gratuity, VAT tax, and DAILY resort, other fees are ALL ADDED AT CHECKOUT. If you’re budgeting $4,000 for your trip, best to add another $2,000 to $3,000. Insane! Automatic gratuity? SCAM! It’s added to EVERYTHING- ALL Resort and Food services on premises. Makes staff LAZY and NOT care because they’re getting tipped regardless of service given. It leads to a really bad attitude from the staff. The cleaning crew was PATHETIC—we had chip crumbs on the floor from day one, and they were still there when we checked out. The beds were barely made, sheets weren’t changed, and towels were just swapped out. Shameful. The bellhop was rude and acted bothered to help with luggage. The beach is full of rocks. Food is gross and ridiculously overpriced—Poseidon’s Table buffet was disgusting, Fish by Jose wasn’t worth it, and Silan was a rip-off. Minimal entertainment—just a bad comedy show and a 5-minute Junkanoo parade. Taxis push restaurants for kickbacks, and the vendors at the Straw Market are vultures, overcharging for everything. For $6,000, Atlantis isn’t worth it—you’d get better value on a cruise with food and entertainment included!

I liked that there were several Resorts on the premises with FREE shuttle service, the "Greeting" Staff members(drivers, door persons)were the friendliest whether grabbing a Taxi or returning back to Hotel, the property itself was beautiful, elevator service was excellent ( we only waited a sec or two each time)
