The rooms are rather dated and could use updating. Given the price, I would have liked to seen more.

This is a decent option in Maun. It is centrally located, the restaurant serves really nice food, and the staff is very attentive.

    Nothing

We stayed only one night. Place has a cosy outdoor bar close to the pool and the dinner was fantastic. We had enchilladas and beef with vegetables. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed at Cresta Riley for work conference. Great location, friendly staff, poor plumbing in shower.
    • Business trip
    • Group
    • Standard Double or Twin Room
    • Stayed 1 night

Rooms are a little tired, need updating. Shower in our room, #37, nearly flooded the floor with each use. Did ask front desk to look at this, but was unchanged after the request. Its just not acceptable to have to bail out your shower, so the next person can take their shower!!!

food at the Cresta is always great, with good variety. Staff was welcoming, and location and grounds were wonderful and convenient. Generally, the staff took good care of our large group, as we were there for a work conference.

The location is very good, between the central bus station and the airport. It's walking distance to everything you need, supermarket, restaurant and market. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. It's a nice little pool with sunbeds there too. On the negative side it was an annoying fire-alarm "beeping" for several days without the personell bothering to turn it off or find the cause. I also hate AI-generated / BOT-generated messages from the hotel via Booking.com, I got like 30 of them, and the hotel did not reply on my messages through Booking.com either.

When leaving the room, use your key while closing the door. Otherwise, it takes a bit of force and makes a lot of noise. This wasn't a problem. it just took me a while to clue into it.

This was my favorite place of the 3 that we stayed in, in Maun. It is right downtown, but does not get any noise from the street. It is an easy walk to shops etc. Breakfast is included , which is a nice touch. Both breakfast and dinner are good, as is the outside bar. I liked that I could use the bathroom without waking my friend. This wasn't always the case in other places. The staff here, as everywhere, are wonderful. We were here at the start and end of our trip to the Okavango Delta and Victoria Falls. We would have stayed all 3 of the latter nights , but only one night was available.

There seem to be regular events next to the hotel in the dry riverbed. Our first night we had loud election-related noise and music, and as we checked out there was a stage being set up with very loud music being tested at 11am. Bring earplugs if you stay.

This was a nice stopover at the beginning and end of an overlanding trip. We appreciated the pool and AC in the October heat. Also, instead of paying for breakfast here you can just walk next door to Riley’s Garage for coffee (espresso bar) and a pastry.

My standard room was shabby. The towels were discolored, and one had a hole in it. There was no globe in the bedside light. The dinner buffet was mediocre andvtge dining room lacks character.

I love the bar at the pool. The breakfast buffet was goid.

Showers are not so nice. You need to stand in the bathtub and have the shower head on the wall. The bathroom floods every time.

Proximity to town is great - walking distance to some shops- and the food the restaurant offers is really delicious.

The hotel is spread over a spacious site. Some of the pathways had been affected by tree roots pushing through, which made navigating the site a little difficult. Care and concentration were needed!

The breakfast offered a good choice. The outdoor bar area in the evenings was pleasant, though sadly the nearby riverbed was dry and so affected the view/outlook.

It is in desperate need of maintenance-looking shabby.Turnover time for dinner in restaurant very slow.Attention to smaller detail ie chairs on balcony, hairdryer disconnected and impossible to reconnect.bedside lamp shade loose and lamp not plugged in.no bath mat 2nd day. Cups and beverages not replenished.Feral cat got in and made mess on duvet which wasn’t replaced-just turned over.

Breakfast was excellent.Staff friendly and helpful.
