No complaints at all. But maybe some more cutlery in the kitchen wouldn't go amiss.

This is a lovely backpacker, great decor, and chilled vibe, beautiful garden setting, and a pool! Staff and owners are very friendly and accommodating. I booked the combo safari drive and boat cruise through them, and that was a fantastic day with knowledgeable and friendly guides. Good communication and directions. If you are on a budget and you prefer rustic African decor and chiled backpacker vibes over expensive hotels, then this is definitely the place for you. Good Wifi. Excellent value for the prices.

Great value for money. The staff are super friendly and the facilities were clean. We stayed in one of the tents which was fabulous. It gets chilly at night during July so bring layers. We also booked the combo game drive & boat cruise via the guesthouse & it was excellent value for money too. We saw lions, elephant, giraffe, hippo, baboons, impala, a fish eagle, crocs and even a leopard. Book your spot with reception before you arrive.

Sad to say that our room was not that clean and the bathroom was definitely old. Water pressure was not always enough or enough warm to enjoy the shower and the room was cold.

Great location to reach Chobe Park and Vic Falls. Food was good.

Stayed in a tent and there was very loud music played by the neighbor outside the accomodation. This was in the night between maybe 7 - 9 pm. After a long day of activies, we needed to rest and it wasnt possible. The accomodation couldnt really do anything as this was from outside. Place is far from Kasane but they have taxis that are affordable to there. Shared taxi is 8 pula per person and special taxi (whole taxi to your self) is 50 pula per person. We used the shared taxi several times and it was awesome. You just need to know where you are going.

I didn't know I could book activities through the hotel and i booked through a different travel agency. I could have saved me a lot of hassle.

The lodge has a great view, and I stayed in the mixed dorm which was very safe which is very important for a solo female traveller.

Would have given them 8 if it was not for the very hard and uncomfatable beds. Food also not up to standard for the price. Room also have no windows or view. Cleanliness and friendly staff made the diffirence

The place has quite a creative layout, good vibes and very friendly staff. It’s a crossover of a lodge and a backpacker, which makes it somehow unique.

The mosquitoes and all biting Bugs !!! But we are in the wilderness so I guess it makes sense but still the room needs to be sprayed constantly creepy crawling creatures everywhere!-and Card machines need to be updated !!!

The staff was attentive and super awesome to chat with and people are friendly … pretty great price point as well! The Chobe Safari - and River Safari was awesome! even though vicfalls is pricey it’s still worth it to book need more than 1 ppl to book to be worth the trip though !! Pool is clean!! Worth the swim!

I would like to bring to your attention a challenging experience we had during our stay at Elephant Trail Guest House on Saturday evening the 22/02/2025 Just as we were about to prepare our supper, there was a power outage. Unfortunately, the staff did not communicate this issue proactively, and we had to inquire about it ourselves. When the generator was eventually started, it took a considerable amount of time, and by the time it was running, it was too late for us to cook. Additionally, the generator only powered the lights and did not provide enough energy for us to use a hotplate. As a result, we had to go to bed without eating, which was a very unpleasant experience. Moreover, there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room, and due to the lack of electricity, we were unable to switch on the fan, making it even more uncomfortable. Given these challenges, we strongly recommend that the facility invests in a reliable alternative energy source that can support not just lighting but also essential appliances like cooking equipment and fans. Additionally, the backup system should activate immediately when a power outage occurs to avoid such inconveniences in the future. We hope this feedback helps improve the guest experience at Elephant Trail Guest House.

It was located at a distance and the road wasn’t tarred. I had to use cabs throughout. It could’ve been a bit more cleaner..

No space in the Cave, more suitable for overlanders not backpackers as there's just no place to put stuff on... Slept in one bed with our stuff... Kitchen could get too tight if everyone's cooking

The air conditioner in my room wasn’t strong enough and the remote was not working.the road to the place was bumpy and muddy since it was a rainy season.

The only thing that is missing from this place is mosquito net. I got bitten so much, and I could not sleep well for the first night. There is nothing around this area, but you can take super cheap taxi to go anywhere

This place is really beautiful, and it is almost like boutique hotel. Local staffs were nice and helpful, and their dinner was amazing, too
