I absolutely enjoyed my time at Jayla Homestay and will definitely stay here again. Besides the outstanding hospitality by Mmapula and her staff, the dinner and breakfast were delicious homemade meals. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. Thank you, Mmapula!

Mmapula was super friendly and helpful. She provided a great dinner and breakfast. Jayla is very quiet but was located a bit out of Maun. Mmapula arranged for our taxi to the airport and it was very punctual.

We loved our stay at Jayla’s. The room was lovely and clean. We loved having our own kitchen and Water was provided. The owner has a little shop on the premises if you need something. She is an amazing person and we loved chatting with her. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable. 100 percent recommendation 😊

Mmapula and her family were incredibly welcoming hosts. The room was spacious and cleaned daily. Mmapula was incredibly helpful booking a Mokoro & bushwalk safari tour for us. As well, we ate dinner here two nights and the meals were outstanding. Recommend staying here! Felt so homey! Parking is within a gated area and felt safe.

Very nice, welcoming and budget-friendly place to stay in Maun. Also very happy with the great breakfast. I rented a car from Britz, which is within walking distance, and it was very convenient to stay at Jayla’s both before and after my car rental. Recommended.

Mmapula was exceptionally attentive to our needs and created a warm atmosphere in the entire place. We had high expectations about the dinner based on other comments, yet they were still exceeded. The communal dinner is also a good opportunity to meet other travellers. Our room was in fact a spacious small apartment.

My stay at Jayla Homestay in Maun, Botswana, was fantastic! Mmapula and her family are warm, welcoming hosts who made me feel at home. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-equipped, and Mmapula’s home-cooked meals were delicious. The peaceful location is perfect for relaxing, and Mmapula’s gave me great recommendations on what to do in Maun - from participating in local school events to Karaoke places and from helping me organise trip to Moremi National Park to Mokoro trips. Great Wi-Fi, parking, and value for money. Highly recommend Jayla Homestay for an authentic Botswana experience!

Parking inside was tight so park outside if not staying long.

The stay was large and clean with full-size fridge. The owner was a sweetheart who would go the extra mile to make sure you were comfortable. Staff was pleasant and welcoming. Loved the little kitten!

Jayla was so welcoming and helpful with organizing safari trips. She even took me and two others guests out to show us a local bar in Maun. Her food is absolutely amazing and so lovely to come back to after a long day on safari.

The cat is very friendly, but hard to keep off the table. If you're off your guard for 2 seconds, it's got it's nose in your food. Once you've kicked it off the table 10 times, it might find a frog to play with. Once the frog is exhausted, the cat will be back at your food. I left the place with a stomach issue, lasting about 2 weeks, but this might be a coincidence.

Clean, comfortable and quiet, on the outskirts of Maun. Really nice staff, who will help and advise you the best they can.

The host isthe most kind person i met in Botswana , she was able to do a quick meal after my long day in Okavango delta , the room was simple clean and comfortable wifi worked perfectly a boiler in the room for quick cup of coffee. Breakfast was simple and easy
