Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaI would like the kitchen area to be fully equipped with kitchen utensils and at least a microwave.
The facility is close to all important amneties like Okovango delta and Moremi game reserve and also very close to shopping facility. The facility is superb for group bookings. The pool and braai are is beautiful.

United KingdomCutlery, tableware, and cooking pots were not provided (we had an equipped camping vehicle so this didn't matter). Parking is quite a long way from the chalets/kitchen. No hot water.
The communal cooking facilities are very good, with a gas hob and oven and large refrigerators. There is an inviting swimming pool reserved for chalet occupants.

AustraliaThe large en-suite tent was great but not if you are a light sleeper as walls are very thin and you can hear everyone in tents around you. The smaller rooms are quieter.
Great place to stay if going to the Delta. Awesome cocktails at the bar, a pool and rooms were good. Staff amazing and can organize heli flights.

BelgiumIf you book a tour to the Okavango Delta, be aware that you are taken there in an open vehicle. In winter this is a bitter cold experience!
Lovely staff, nice food in the restaurant.

South AfricaWe were disappointed that although there was a kitchen for use by those of us staying in the chalets it was not kitted out with a stove, crockery and cutlery etc etc.
The camp manager Tom and his staff were especially helpful. Day trips to the Delta and Moremi Game reserve were arranged for us at reasonable rates. The camp is situated in a very pretty setting especially the tall trees. The dining area is set on a deck overlooking the camp. Special mention must be made of Melani who helped sort out a few things for us.

United KingdomIt was a little out of town for our purposes with few opportunities for walks locally. The taxi that took us from town dropped us by the roadside - it was still another 2km to the camp on a gravel track (not fun in the midday sun carrying a backpack). This is not a reflection on the camp itself (as they do mention the state of the access road) but more on the honesty of the taxi drivers who promised they could take us door to door. I felt the pool areas needed some TLC and were often covered in leaves and such debris by the end of the day. The excursions offered whilst excellent I felt were a little over priced but this seems to be more of a nationwide thing. The cabins could've done with either more shelving or storage space.
The staff were excellent both friendly and professional from front desk to reception no one could be faulted. The breakfast was sensational. The cabin were rustic and basic but had their charm.

United KingdomWatch out if Sitatunga offeres a tour with a local named Ngoma. He is a freelancer of sorts and talks a good game yet he is in for the quick money and safety does not come necessarily first. We went on a Moremi day trip and were picked up in an old Toyota Land Cruiser with no seat belts. On the tour we got stuck in the Moremi in a mud puddle and we did not even have a shovel. We got out (good team work with the guide and us 3 tourists ) but basic equipment for a safari vehicle was not on board.
Decent value for money; chalets are very small but do the job. Food is ok but too European and no efforts made to bring a hint of African or more local cuisine to it. Tommy the manager is very friendly and attentive. Be mindful of the distance to the okavango delta though as most trips take at least 2 hours to get to the starting point of excursions.

BotswanaThe place is rather far from the Moremi reserve, where most of the game drives take place (you have to drive through the city where the traffic is rather bad), so that has to be taken into account when planning. The restaurant was rather pricy and the food (except for the burger that was okay) was subpar.
Great place - very calm, peaceful and (seemingly) remote, very friendly and helpful staff and really an extraordinary experience to stay in the very well equipped (especially the outdoor shower) tent.

South AfricaNot enough hooks or shelves to put everything in the bathroom eg soap, facecloth, shampoo). No comfy chairs to sit on on the patio area of tent. Too much light at night (pollution). Long wait at the restaurant. Otherwise I loved the restaurant.
Loved being amongst the trees, hearing all the animals. Lovely hot shower. Good internet. Lovely pool. Very good food at the restaurant. Well organised mokoro activity. Really good value for money.

South AfricaWe were disappointed with the restaurant - there was no fillet available for dinner (although other food we ordered was good!) and no cappucino or coffee at breakfast (only instant coffee), so we went elsewhere.
Location is great - far enough out of Maun to have peace and quiet but close enough for shopping. The bar is awesome, quite quirky and a wonderful spot for sundowners. I left my camera battery and charger in the room - one of the staff sent me a Whatsapp with a photo shortly after we left - thank you!
